How you know JL has already been around for a lonnnng time:

The dedicated forum for JL that started off with mature guys discussing the vehicle and brand with common sense and a technical aspect has today turned into a bunch of young whiney kids who consider a new infotainment screen and plastic grille design change to be a "new" model. šŸ˜‚

I don't know whether it's funny or sad. Actually I think it's sad. We're witnessing one of the greatest brands the U.S. auto market has ever known being run into the ground by a foreign owner who doesn't care about anything but an electric path forward, and you guys are defending them because hey, they did give us a new fabric material on the dash and a different screen! Woo! OHHH and the axle is a full floater, because you know, that's never been done in history and the axle in the JK and early JL was breaking all the time! OHHH and hey there's a factory winch now! Never mind that factory winches were in the Jeep factory catalog 30 years ago....

Sigh....

Rumors regarding the 2025 model, eh? Well if you want rumors, go ahead with this thread. I was only trying to post the facts. 2025 is going to be more of the same....just like we've seen over and over and over again from this company. Again, they'll repackage stuff we've seen forever and call it a "new" package, or recycle colors. If you want to wait for a 2025 maybe you will get a deal, since Jeep sales crashed another 19% so far this year.
Well- this isn’t a rumor, Ford has introduced official warrantied tunes for $825. The 2.3 one adds 30 hp to 330, 60 lb ft to 385. The 3.0 one adds 50 hp to 455 and 105 lb ft to 536 lb ft. I haven’t seen the 2.7 numbers, but the ā€œbeforeā€ numbers are 330 hp, 415 Lb ft. , expect proportional increases. Jeep’s engine offerings ? especially on a 2 dr ? Oh yeah, a Final-Final edition V8 for 25.,,, If you can afford it. Sad - sales numbers you say ?

Oh no guys. We have disappointed our betters.
I wonder if his Uncles best friend that has lived with him for decades has given him inside info and thats why hes so angry about it.
Aren't you girls missing your afternoon daycare nap time? šŸ˜‚

I feel so old... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". And that's why it's just fine for the JL platform to be 6 model years old now. At some point it will be re-imagined, but until then, we have a very good product which is here to stay.

@WXman, check your Cheerios for piss before diving in. What are you expecting? A new kind of solid axle? A new take on a ladder frame? What exactly is your gripe?
Gripe? I have no gripe. OP asked about the 2025 model. I told him what to expect. I then got a bunch of little momma's boys making 6th grade level jokes. It's just sad what the moderators have allowed this forum to turn into.

So when the 2025 is EXACTLY like I described, am I allowed to say told you so? Or will that also get childish comments? Hopefully those guys do us all a favor and not reproduce.

This company has shown that they do not care about the U.S. market at all. I would not expect any significant changes at all for '25. Or '26. Or '27. And I'm betting the '28 launch of the all-new Wrangler gets delayed.

Nope no gripes at all your post was 100% rationally motivated with 0 emotional connotations or hyperbole.

They'll probably do a couple of new colors here and there, and come up with a couple of "new" packages that just regroup existing options like they've done before, but at the end of the day the only changes will be higher base prices going forward.

As far as the 3.0 engine goes, I'm not sure what they're going to do. The 3.6 is getting old and I don't see them keeping it around forever. If they don't feel they can do the 3.0 maybe they do the 2.0 only going forward? I feel like they have to do something though. The 392 is going away, the EcoDiesel is already gone. They'll have no options that actually make power, and Ford will eat their lunch.
Well well well..... 2025 brought a couple of new colors, as expected. And a regroup of existing options with nothing new, as expected. And they are showing the first signs of the 3.6 going away before long by ONLY offering it with the manual trans which has a statistically lower take rate. Basically no meaningful change for '25. Imagine that.

It'll be the same for '26. So get ready. Exterior color is the only driver of Wrangler sales now. Like I said, this company is not interested in innovation any longer. FCA was. Stellantis isn't.

I wish they made a turbo diesel hybrid that doesn't catch on fire.
Imagine the torque! High range would be nice too, so I don't have to bring extra diesel fuel.

I'm not sure it'd be a great combo. It'd be insanely heavy, so the range would likely decrease compared to a regular EcoDiesel. Yes, it'd have insane torque, but would the transmission be able to handle it?

Maybe a transmission from a diesel ram..
I'm assuming the power from the electric motor would help, even with the added weight.

I understand the spirit of what you're suggesting, but... Complexity on top of complexity? Let's try to add some distance from that approach, not decrease it...as your "doesn't catch on fire" comment tacitly suggests. ;)
