To help clarify: Dana 44s standard on the JT, Dana 44 Wides standard on the JT Rubi, optional on the Sport/S (not sure with the Overland).
Yes, the 4.10 on the Sport/S is part of the max towing package. Not available on the Overland for some reason.

Care to add some context to this screenshot? looks like a list of Rubicon specs.
Exactly, but’s it’s the Max Tow Package. As I said in my original post, Gladiator is offering the front & rear wide D44’s and 4.10’s as an available option which bridges the gap between Sport and Rubicon. I didn’t say D44 was optional.

Why do it on JT but not JL?

Except it doesn't quite bridge the gap. Its for maximum towing, but you still lack the locking diffs and only have the command trac transfer case.

2019 JL Rubicon Just sold. On the prowl for a 392
if resale is any concern - I disagree with the previous Comment of an Optioned Rubicon vs a 'stock' Moab. Rubicons sell in the secondary market. Moab?? we will see. But ask someone with a JK if they has an easier time selling a Rocky Mountain or a Rubicon.

I sold my 2006 TJ Rubicon for 68% of its sticker price 6 years after it was purchased with 80k and I can tell you there are people Im sure did much better than me out there.

You’re missing the point. FCA has offered bits & pieces of Rubicon’s hardware on trims to bridge the gap. If you want the complete package, then that’s the Rubicon.

I'm not missing the point, its not bridging the gap, the 4.10s are there so a Sport owner can tow up to a 7650lb trailer. While yes it does result in somewhat lower crawl ratio, its still not a Bridge for the gap between the Rubicon and not.

Polls like this are useless. It's really up to the user and what they feel would suit them. I went for the locking differentials of a Rubicon due to my farm and hunting tendencies. I personally hate limited slip differentials in a Jeep. Make a list with pros and cons, and what mods you are planning, then make your decision. Don't get into the weeds on the tire issue as most of us on this forum would go after-market tires anyway. :)

The OP stated "I like the leather and steel bumpers on Moab standard and the rubicon for that price point doesn’t have that." He wants options. Thats what we here are talking about is it not? Yes a Rubicon is more off-road capable, there is no disputing that. We all know because rubicon owners love to remind us all the time. But the MOAB is no slacker either. It has more capable off-road hardware than a sport and a sport is a VERY capable off-roader too. Never seen a Sahara or Sport on the rubicon trail?
Thanks for pointing out he asked about steel bumpers and leather. No hard feelings. Everyone should buy and enjoy whatever they want. I've seen a bunch of different Jeeps, from M series to CJs, TJs, etc. tackle the Rubicon. Everyone of them modified in some way. Tires and wheels being the most prevalent. Suspension mods generally hand in hand with the o/s tires. So, yeah, this is a reminider to the OP that a Rubicon is more capable because it has many features that are classic mods for Jeeps used off road in extreme wheeling. No apologies.

Hands down MOAB. Stock MOAB looks better than any stock Rubicon.
Plus Snow = MOAB, just don't take the moab to actual moab, it will get stuck

Maybe you could try washing the damn thing every once in a while.....

Looks are purely subjective to each his own. As good looking as the Moab’s are I prefer the Rubicons looks.

I go up to tahoe a lot with very very deep snow but don’t plan to do much rock crawling. Thanks for the reply
Then look at the Sahara (Non MOAB) with the Limited Slip Differential (LSD) which is much better in snow then Lockers

Well I try to be reasonable and have fun. Too often these types of threads turn into mud throwing contests. Its best to make a quick entrance before that happens. lol.
Okay, and if it is a really bad mud throwing contest then you'll want the Moab's tires. Duh.

This is true. But now that Jeep is sneaking some Rubis out with Falken MTs it makes that choice harder. lol
