Going over tomorrow to hopefully buy a MOAB (still have to work the deal and trade value, etc.) but wow I'm tossed up. I like both colors.

One advantage that I think of, but probably need to let go of, is if I get the ANVIL I won't be able to buy a set of half doors that are already panted in that color.. one thing I want to do (but overall, I'm not sure how much half door running I will be doing due to climate, etc.). Plus, I know I could just go the hard route and get a set painted.

So... looking to my Wrangler family for feedback and just to hear what others would do. Sure, I know this is my decision alone to make, but I always like to hear what others would do..

I might be biased! But I think ANVIL is a pretty sick color! These are my ANVIL JLUR and my Black beauty 2dr sport!

I’m completely happy with anvil on my 2024 but if granite had been available might have gone that way. I like how it looks with the color matched hardtop and black fenders.

From a cosmetic standpoint the darker color looks better out of the showroom but the lighter color always wins out after a few months

jbcrane ....Man what a well looking put together clean Jeep. Very nice rig. What/who are the mounting plates on the front fenders, never seen that.

OP both are nice. Think about any accents you might be into that will help with color decision. Like the Anvil makes the OE Moab decal stand out. But on Granite a red or blue would pop. Also trail rash. Anvil will show it more. I mean either color will still sound the same when you punch it 😁

I've got a 23 Willys JLU XR in Sting Gray. I love it. If Anvil had been an option then, I would have gone Anvil. I love that color.

Thanks Greg. He’s a keeper. The grids on the front fenders are from Agency 6. I saw them and picked them up on a sale a couple years ago thinking they’ll turn the flat, otherwise unused fender tops into something useful. I strap bags to them with winch supplies and the like while out on the trail. Can also put dirty shovels and the like in quick-fist clamps if I don’t want to get the inside dirty. Otherwise they go largely unused, but are a great conversation starter.

Regarding the OP’s Anvil vs. GCM - they’re both great colors. Can’t go wrong. Like I told my brother when he was agonizing over the color of his Bronco… just go with your gut. You’ll end up falling in love with it think it’s the best color out there, no matter what color you choose.
