Not sure what is going on, need input. Just now when going to back out of diagonal parking spot my Wrangler lost steering, had to man handle it to get backed out. Dash lit up with ABS warning, stabilizer bar disconnect warning, and statement of vehicle will shut down soon, find a safe parking spot. Pulled into to parking lot, turned Jeep off, restarted after a bit, all normal. Drive back to garage without incident. Any ideas what happened before contacting dealer to pull codes? V6 2 door manual 2024 Rubicon, with 10k on the clock. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

You should pull codes yourself. OBDC readers are pretty cheap, or borrow one. Then reasearch, and the lastly oh lastly, visit the dealer with information in hand.

Was anything installed recently?

You can run to any autozone or advance and let them pull codes for free if you don’t have a reader

Yea, know that. Issue is, dealer still needs to address as under warranty. Just wondering out loud if anyone has similar issue and what was cause. Thanks for replies. And nothing installed except 35's when new.

Understood. From experience, they won't address anything if they can't reproduce it, even if they have codes stored... and then you wasted hours of your time. I have very little faith in the latest crop of Jeep service advisors and most techs.

The last time this happened to me, the dash lit up like a xmas tree, and after checking the codes, i was able to fix the issue on my own for $25 and an hour of my time. An abs sensor got cut (either my lift installer re-routed it incorrectly or a rat bit through it, either way, dealer would have probably charged me $100 + $250 to fix it.

Local dealer is pretty decent. They should be after buying 5 vehicles from them in past 3 years, including a TRX and 2 392 Rubicons. That said, I will trade this wrangler off in a heartbeat if it is not dead nuts reliable. And it won't be for another Jeep.

Sounds like its the salesmen that are decent. ;)
Ok, I hope you get it resolved quickly. I've never had a warning saying vehicle will shutdown. That sounds pretty bad.

Yea, me neither. Probably would have gone into limp mode. Can't believe all the crap that can light up on the dash when stuff goes south. Thanks for the replies.

Probably start shopping now then, although there is nothing out there that is “dead nuts reliable”. I would get JSCAN and get actual DTCs prior to the dealer rather than replies from internet guessers.

I work in auto salvage. Ain’t shit dead nuts reliable these days, ESPECIALLY stellantis products. They are fine for the most part but do have quirks you’re just gonna have to deal with.

Not even Hondas and Toyotas are “dead nuts” anymore.

I hate saying this but weird stuff happens from time to time. On a trip I had ESC disable, the auto cruise control disable, and something else all at the same time. Restarted the jeep and things were fixed.

Another time I had some sort of radio module get disabled. Restarted that again and it's been fine.

Knock on wood...

I wonder if errors are going to happen and then it throws everything in a tizzy. Like misfires, it's normal to get a few every hundred miles. And I agree with the other poster. The dealer isn't going to do anything unless you bring it in on a tow truck. If they can't see it themselves, there's nothing wrong with it.

I would check all the fuses to make sure they are seated all the way. I would also make sure that the can bus wiring blocks have all the wires fully seated. And lastly, I would make sure to check the voltage of the batteries. I *think* the time when my ESC, advanced safety, and ESS got disabled my battery was low at startup.

All good suggestions. Should be interesting if anyone codes are stored. Guess if there are I will go from there. Thanks.

Second the JSCAN suggestion. You will almost certainly have stored codes. Generic OBDII scanners will only pick up emissions and similar that set the CEL. you will likely find codes related to lost communications between modules on the CANBUS. This often causes dash to light up. The fact that it went away means it's probably intermittent. Dealer will clear codes and say they can't reproduce. There are dozens of possible causes and lots of threads about this. Sometimes you get lucky and it doesn't come back. Sometimes it becomes a frustrating debug exercise. Hope it works out for you.

Oh, and it could be weak batteries. That's an easier diagnosis I'd try first.
