Guys,

Anyone run a water misting system on their JL to cool down the radiator in extreme heat idle/slow speeds? If so, what system are you using?

Thanks.

Why?? Sounds a little overboard. What does your coolant temp get up to??

Exactly......I have been out on plenty of AZ trails with the AC going full speed in 100+deg heat. Why would someone need a radiator misting system?????

Thats what the thermostat is for. All the humidity inside the engine compartment may not be good. You may benefit from evaporation cooling but if the air temp is 110 your mist water will be 110. Unless you are taking this trail.

Are you coming from the Tuner scene. You could use nitrous. Or CO2.
kidding aside, you don’t need it. I also wheel in AZ at 110°+ the factory system is more than adequate.

Ok cool, yeah it was just a thought to see if anyone had done it and if was worth it. The comment about dust caking on the wet radiator is a good point….didnt even think about that. Thanks everyone!

sounds like a great way to make mud out of dirt and make the heat issue worse. if it was onroad only. it could see it. but something that goes off road with the dust and dirt. i think this is just asking for problems

These Jeeps get loud but they seem to do adequate job at cooling.

Can such a system be filled with liquid nitrogen instead? That won't make any mud out of any dirt and is a far superior coolant than water. Asking for a friend.
