All in all the install took me about 5hrs solo. That's going very slowly and being overly OCD.

I also had to custom fab some bolts as Mishimoto sent too many long bolts and not enough short ones. So, dremel to the rescue :)

Appreciate all the tips. I did try to burp the system post install, just because I'm used to doing that on older vehicles. I didn't really have any way of knowing if the system had purged any air left in it to be honest though.

I let her run and topped it off when needed over the course of a good 30 minutes. That was 1 week ago, and I've had to add a little bit here and there as I drive it.

Since then, I've just watched the Temps whilst driving for both Coolant and Oil. Each stay between 200 and 220 (i.e. within range) on a low 70 degree day with stop and go driving.

There's been no more active leaks and the Mishimoto radiator was an easy drop-in unit. The OEM radiator was leaking slowly down the entire driver's side edge. So, it was 100% time to replace it.
Did you go with the all aluminum or the OE type?

If antifreeze gets spilled under the hood or on the ground, water will get rid of it completely. Just hose it or use the self car wash sprayer on pre soak for under hood with the spot free rinse after. Nothing will melt or short out using a hose under hood or underneath. Just don’t have it running when you spray.

When filling the system, squeeze the upper hose numerous times after you fill it to help push out the air. Then run the engine with cap off for about 5 minutes then top off, re-cap and go drive it then come back and check it again and add to it if low. Keep the engine running when you slowly remove the cap and fill.
