  1. Dual Battery from Genesis, any issues?

For what it's worth, I figured I'd add my multi-year review of the system. Tldr; I love it. Detailed review: I ran the 1st gen for almost a full two years, and I've ran the new 2nd gen now for a little over a year now I think without issue. I've had my solar system hooked up to a Victron...
  2. Spiders

I'm sure it's already been suggested, but to the OP it may be time to consider purging the Jeep with righteous fire, as once infested there's no recovery. As a FL resident, I have learned to live with spiders. Even if they do spend their lives hiding... planning... plotting... waiting for the...
  3. Coolant Leak / Radiator Replacement Question

    All aluminum MUCH better quality
  4. Coolant Leak / Radiator Replacement Question

All in all the install took me about 5hrs solo. That's going very slowly and being overly OCD. I also had to custom fab some bolts as Mishimoto sent too many long bolts and not enough short ones. So, dremel to the rescue :)
  5. Coolant Leak / Radiator Replacement Question

Appreciate all the tips. I did try to burp the system post install, just because I'm used to doing that on older vehicles. I didn't really have any way of knowing if the system had purged any air left in it to be honest though. I let her run and topped it off when needed over the course of a...
  6. Coolant Leak / Radiator Replacement Question

Thanks for the tip. I'll plan on it. I've got a Mishimoto coming in as a direct replacement. Griffin doesn't seem to have any past 2017 for direct fits. I'll plan for a 6hr job and a few beers. 😀
  7. Coolant Leak / Radiator Replacement Question

I've been trying to track down a slow coolant leak for the past 2 months, and today I finally saw a spot on the driveway. It looks like the leak is coming from the radiator. I can see an active drip from the drivers side lower corner of it (image below). My question is, for a driveway repair...
  8. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I have found that any of the versions mount really nicely on the back side of the molle panels from MPS between the panel and the side of the Jeep: https://www.molle-platform-solutions.com/product-page/jlu-jeep-wrangler-molle-fender-well-panels-pair Then I just use a extension cable to rout the...
  9. 3.6 JL more power

    Can confirm 4.88 w/35s feel amazing :)
  10. Probably the largest simultaneous trail cleanup event ever....

This! Next time I'll keep an eye out for it.
  11. What's your favorite camp stove?

Honestly, my Hiker Trash self usually kicks in when I'm on the road. So, I fall back to things like Instant Mashed Potatos combined with StarKist Mixes (Lemon Pepper is my fav.) Otherwise, stuff like rice/couscous mixes, etc. Usually things that pack easily and provide large amounts of...
  12. What's your favorite camp stove?

BRS 3000T Costs about $12-$20 and has never let me down. Fits in less than a palm pf your hand and cooks with precise adjustments. One lives in the Jeep 24/7 and the other in my Hiking bag. I've used it for 100s of miles on foot and thousands on the road. 😀
  13. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

A trip through UT, AZ, and CO :)
  14. Another Coolant Question

For anyone that comes across this, it was indeed a failed cap. More specifically, the bottom O-ring had a small chunk missing. I was not able to locate the missing chunk in the reservoir tank, so I've no idea where it went. It's holding pressure now and hasn't gotten past 215 while driving.
  15. Another Coolant Question

I should note, I do have a new cap inbound to make sure it's not as simple as a bad cap not creating a good seal...
  16. Another Coolant Question

So, I've been tracking down a coolant issue for quite some time now... Long story short, I believe the reservoir cap was put on (probably by me) at one point not 100% level (i.e. cross threaded). I've never gotten a temperature alarm, and I've never caught the Temps running hot (nothing above...
  17. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Finished up the garage table set. So, not TO the Jeep itself, but to the parts. I just couldn't throw out the wheels and it gave a great excuse to not throw the rear seat in storage. Each set of wheels is held together with threaded rod. Also gives a use for the lug nuts.
  18. Florida FREE: JLUR Factory Rock Rails

I'll keep that in mind. I sometimes frequent the Z'Hills and Richloam areas. That's still a ways away though.
  19. Florida FREE: JLUR Factory Rock Rails

Free to a good home, one set of JLUR Factory Rock Rails. They were used once in the FL Sand (Citrus), so they come complementary with a bit of dirt. Otherwise, they are in good condition and includes the smaller hardware nuts. They've been sitting in a climate controlled storage unit for the...
