yup thats what I have except on the hinges. I wish I realized the corrosion policy. I took my dealships word for it that it wasn't covered the 3-4th year when I complained ... mine is a 2016 JKU

There are multiple sources and types of replacement hinges for a JK. I just put black powder coated stainless steel hinges on one. Corroded body panels are a different story.

STILL WHY IS THIS HAPPENING ON A 50 K JEEP? THIS HAPPENED ONLY A FEW YEARS LATER. JUNK I SAY. JUST BECAUSE ITS NOT ON THE BODY DOESN'T MEAN ITS NORMAL. I THINK ITS ALUMINUM VS STEEL LIKE MANY PEOPLE REPORT.

When I had JK questions I went to a JK forum. There someone had posted that the later year JKs went back to steel hinges due to the earlier aluminum hinge corrosion. Maybe you should seek out a JK forum that would be more relevant to your situation.

I'm still looking, almost weekly, for bubbles around all areas. Since having past issues, it sucks that I am now having to be a little paranoid about paint bubbles. Now, bubble searching is part of my regular upkeep. It's all on me, now that all warranties are expired.

I look for bubbles every week, and use a spray detailer/wax as well.I drench the hinges and let the liquid seep between the hinge and door. After washing,I blow the hinges dry with a leaf blower just as an extra measure. So far,so good on my garaged 2021.If mine gets this issue it won't be for lack of preventive maintenance.

Be sure to look real close. After the reappearance of corrosion led to ordering all 4 doors on my JLU, I carefully inspected the inside edges of the doors on my JT and after finding no corrosion, I applied preventative wax to the inside edges.

Then I found severe bubbling on the bottom of tailgate and scheduled a dealer visit to get it inspected. While it was there they did a full inspection and found some evidence of corrosion on every door and now I have another full set of doors on order.

What they did that I didn't was to use a light on the inside edges to more easily see the small bubbles starting to form.

Just a quick Poll, to see how many have/had bubbles in their paint.
If so, how long did you have it, before the bubbles appeared? Also, where on the Wrangler, did the Bubbles appear?
If not, how long have you survived, without getting any bubbles under the paint?
Out of curiosity, what color is your jeep?
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Firecracker red. Always garaged. I noticed the bubbling probably 3 years after ownership, on every door hinge on the vehicle. I noticed because the paint chipped off one hinge exposing rust underneath. After closer inspection, it looked like all the hinges were bubbled and the paint could chip off at any time. Never noticed it until that one area with exposed rust appeared.

Pictures were taken 2023 but the bubbling had been there for some time. I contacted Jeep and they said that it was normal and there isn't a darn thing they can do for me. Told me to contact Chrystler.

My 2020 JLUR did not have any bubbling until this year. I am not exactly sure when it showed up. I had been checking my jeep for a while but never seemed to have it so hadn't looked real closely for the last 8 months or so. However, the other day I noticed a small patch of bubbling on the passenger side of the hood starting on one edge and going up to the Rubicon lettering. No chip or anything in the area. I would say about the size of a silver dollar. So after that started looking all around and now see some bubbling on the passenger side hinges. Not so much on the driver side hinges, maybe a tiny bit on the inside of the rear driver side hinge.
