I have a somewhat similar experience with putting the Jeep into reverse when it's cold out. I think it has to do with the oil reservoir draining out (as it's designed to) and needing to re-fill the system with oil after a night of sitting in the cold. I let my Jeep run for a bit (30-40 seconds)...
Hey ArcadeTracks, sorry I haven't gotten around to taking pictures yet (it keeps slipping my mind) but this is the OBD to USB power solution I ended up with.
I started with a cheap Chinese one for $10 but it broke after a day (and about 3 hours of instalation) and I had to re-do it... just buy...
I recently hid my dash cam wire and got power for it using a garmin OBD to USB power port, I went along the top inside of the windshield, to the left (driver side) grab handle.
Took the handle off and hid the wire behind it, down the left side, into the foot well.
It took like 4 hours to get...
Also the 4 auto has rubber CV brackets and the non auto has beefy U-brackets. Both work, but I've heard the auto joints are more prone to catch a stick or rock and cause damage where the bulkier U-joint can tank a hit better.
You can probably order the winch as a part from Mopar, but it will be at considerable cost.
I went with a BADLANDS 12k winch from Harbor Freight and am very happy with it. If you wait for the 4th of July, or Memorial/Labor day, you can get it for 25% off (I did this)
