Plastic Door Sill Guards

I picked up the Rugged Ridge ones. I wish the guards for the rear doors were a little longer but they seemed to offer better protection than the MOPAR ones.

Just from a past post someone used the ones that go over the lip but said he had water coming under where the door sill is pushed up in that spot. Beats me.

I put the Plastic ones on my Sahara and they work fine for me and look ok.

Went with the Stainless Door sills for my Rubicon. You can see both in pics.

Those look like they fit perfect. Have you experienced anything like the previous person mentioned about the bottom of the door may have light coming in or the seal prevents it from closing tightly?

With you on the length of the rear ones they do seem too short.

I see others use these and talk about light coming under the Door seal but no water. I cannot say either way what happens.

Sure that post is some where on forum.

My Mopar rock sliders have step assist so I use it more. But I do use the Door sills too.

You just have to decide what you want for your Jeep.

The water/ light intrusion are for some of the Quadratec and Rugged Ridge products. Some people have zero issues and the mold may have been improved on newer shipments. Others have trimmed the “end bump” area so it’s flush with the door seal.

Both of yours are oem and they don’t interfere with anything.

I actually haven't even checked, but I'll keep an eye out and update if I see light or not. The doors definitely close without any issue.

Looked at their site and only seem them for the 2dr?

I had the Mopar sill guards on my JLU: they are useless; leave the pinch seams totally exposed, which is precisely the area most vulnerable to scuffing.

I replaced them with the Quadratec sill guards: they cover everything that needs covering for half the cost.

Haven’t noticed any daylight coming through but then again I haven’t checked.

I have the quadratec version that came with the full set of floor mats. All fit perfectly and I am very fussy with fit and finish. 40k on the set is still perfect.

Rugged Ridge. I have them also. a sliver of light. never had an ounce of water come in even when I rinse off at a power wash bay to get large amounts of mud or salt off first before I wash.

I haven’t. Them 3M tapes stick like cement!

I used the Mopar ones and then covered the scuff panel areas not protected with 3M. I don’t like the aftermarket versions because they wrap up onto the entry lip creating small seal gaps that would allow water from a deep crossing or even road dust to seep in. Not a big deal I suspect....but....
