I don’t know what this means
They are too high. My Bronco rarely sees anything above 210°F. Ford got that part right.I'm sure that the high temps of these engines are what they were designed at for emissions purposes, but IMO they're just too high. There are so many plastics underhood that would likely see a lot longer lifespan with lower temps.
I mean, on a hot (or even not so hot) day, you can hardly touch things under the hood, they're so hot!
It's kinda ridiculous!
Too high based on whatThey are too high. My Bronco rarely sees anything above 210°F. Ford got that part right.
FCA/Stellantis could take lessons. I rarely saw anything below 224°F in my Wrangler and typically it was >235°F.
Unloaded and driving down the road, that is a stupid temperature...
Based upon a 195°F thermostat and unloaded driving down the highway where load is the least. There is no way I should have seen >235°F temperatures.Too high based on what
Are you suggesting that you're more knowledgeable about those details than the engineers that designed these systems?100% true That engineers get it wrong
And in the case of the jeep cooling system they got it wrong
What engineers? The same ones that lean 100% into CAFE requirements and ignore common sense? Are you suggesting that you're more knowledgeable about those details than the engineers that designed these systems?
This is how all vehicles are and have always been. Pusher fans are inefficient addons even on older vehicles. The reason you are getting high temps just driving down the road is there is very little air passing through the radiator core
Even with a large pusher fan I could not get air to pass through the rad. core . The core is made to tight and will not pass free flowing air. The ONLY way is to suck it through
The wrangler fan come on to little to late
Because they want to be able to sell their vehicles? What engineers? The same ones that lean 100% into CAFE requirements and ignore common sense?
Your posting characteristics might indicate otherwise.Maybe
Common sense would be to cool and engine you MUST have air flowing through the radiator core
The engineers had issues from the start
We have the same issues with our modified Wranglers
