I use a Valvomax on my 2.0 with skids. Prefer it over the Fumoto.

If you're anywhere in the N Hills vicinity, I'm sure I could break that plug loose for you. For some reason the oil change guys tighten the plugs way too much, they must use an impact. Recently changed oil on friends JK, swear the plug was tightened to about 300 ft-lbs, you'd think it would break or strip but it didn't. It does ruin the rubber seal when over-tightened. The torque spec is a very low 20 ft-lbs.Any other weak people out there?
I have a 2.0 Turbo, and can't get the bolt/plug on the oil pan to budge at all. I tried 1/2" and 13mm sockets. Even added a breaker bar. I changed the oil myself the first time, with no problem at all. I didn't even think about the oil pan plug bolt.
Over the winter (2nd oil change) I had the dealer do it -- it was cold, and I had a Jeep Wave freebie. Third oil change was supposed to be today, but I failed. Miserably. And I'm concerned I'm going to strip the plug. Any advice from more experienced ppl other than "get stronger?" I hate being weak. But I also don't see myself dedicating time to muscle building any time soon. I guess I'll cash in my next free oil change, but It's going to be well past due by the time I can get an appt.
Thank you! I might take you up on that offer one day. For now, I'm having the dealer do this one. And I think I'm going to get one of the alternative methods (valve or suction) for future oil changes. But, I haven't committed to one, yetIf you're anywhere in the N Hills vicinity, I'm sure I could break that plug loose for you. Either will do. But, if you are off traveling, are you going to take a suction machine with you. Issues happen sometimes.Thank you! I might take you up on that offer one day. Take it to the dealer and take your receipt that shows that they did the last oil change in case they try to blame you for screwing it up...Better late than never if you’re worried about breaking that bolt. Let the dealership break it.
Valvomax is my go-to. I drain it directly into the bags they provide. No mess, no bs plug.I think I will! I actually didn't mind doing the oil myself the first time, and this would make things even simpler
I love my Valvomax but what bags are you talking about? I drain into the 5qt oil container.Valvomax is my go-to. I drain it directly into the bags they provide. No mess, no bs plug.

I have the diesel so 5qts wouldn't cut it.![]()
Yes I am using the Valvomax on my 24 392. Works awesome! Thread size is M14-1.50. Made in the USA!Just so it is in this thread: What size Fumoto? And anyone using ValvoMax?
Exactly what I use for my 392. Valvomax easy drop plug right into the bag, then haul it off to recycle the oil. These guys:

I have an oil extractor and on my 392 I couldn't get it to work. Going down the dip stick tube there must be some bend or something it was hitting. Ended up putting a Valvomax on it instead.Or try using an oil extractor. They work Great and get all of the oil as long as you place the tube right! Don't have to get under the Jeep at all!
Hmmm. The one I bought on Amazon is Four Uncles. I did have to work it just a little to get it all the way down but not too much. Hooked my air compressor up to the extractor and away it went! I was very skeptical about it myself. Pulled the drain plug after extraction and let it set for about 15 mins. and couldn't believe only one drop! Had just over 5 qts. In the extractor. I was surprisingly impressed with it!I have an oil extractor and on my 392 I couldn't get it to work. Going down the dip stick tube there must be some bend or something it was hitting. But you also have the 392 so maybe more of a turn etc. Somewhere down the tube. I would sacrifice to go back to the traditional way pf doing the oil change for a 392 LOL!!Hmmm. I hear you, Lol! Yes I think theres a bend. The end of the extractor tube is at a 45 degree cut and rotating it etc, there was no way. Just kept hitting a wall. I was using the hard flexible plastic tube. Tried it for 5 mins. If someone would take it from me full of oil, they can have it for free lolBut you also have the 392 so maybe more of a turn etc. Somewhere down the tube.
