I’ve been nursing it along for the past 10k miles, but this Friday at work I could tell she was a little tired on start-up. I texted my wife to tell her I thought I’d need to go get a battery the next day. Battery was completely gone the next AM, luckily it was in the garage and not stranded somewhere.

All told I got exactly 40k miles out of it (odometer read 40,012 miles, and it had 12 miles when I got the Jeep from the dealer). Which I think is pretty good.

How long are most folks getting from their OEM main batteries?

My two are still (apparently) fine at 40k miles.

If you have an aux, did you replace it too? They need to be replaced together.
Nope, I’m rocking an E-Torque, so no Aux.

My ‘21 e-torque is 4 years old next month and has 30k miles on the original battery. Zero issues. I tested it a couple of months ago and it was around 95% life left.

My oem Mopar batteries have been good for ~ 36 months. in comparison my OEM Mercedes and BMW batteries last more than 10 years, in fact I never replaced em before I got rid of the cars

Mine started throwing the “start stop not ready, battery charging” message about a year ago. A battery tender fixed that for the most part. But no longer, I threw in a yellow top Optima.

Replaced both on my 2020 Wrangler at less than 20k miles at a little over 2 years after it was built.

The Wagoneer lasted exactly 2 years and 15k miles. It has a 5.7 Hemi and eTorque.

The OEM batteries are garbage. In the second decade of the 21st century you’d think battery tech would be better, not worse than 30 years ago.

I have an e torque, my OEM lasted a little more than three years. It didn’t die completely but I was planning some wilderness overlanding and didn’t want to mess around with a weak battery since I was plugging in a refrigerator/freezer box.

Only had my Wrangler 3 years, but replaced the 15 GC’s original battery about a year ago. Can’t complain about lasting ~ 8 years.

My 4 year old 2021 3.6 e-torque JLUR (built July 2020, purchased September 2020) started giving me the “Stop/Start Not Ready. Battery Charging” but it was persistent and never went away. Stayed that way for many months before I got around to changing the battery a couple of months ago it once I started noticing the starter turning the engine slower than is normal. Never stranded me though.

The main went out around 48k this past April. 2018 March build lasted 6 years. Cant speak for the health of the AUX but we already know how they will kill each other. At the time of battery replacement I removed the neg (-) and pulled fuse now with upgraded Battery.

That reminds me that it’s been a while since I charged up both car’s batteries. I’ll have to hook them up this weekend and see what they read.

Not too worried about my 21 eTorque built in late 2020. The wife’s car only does a 5 mile commute so gotta be sure to charge her Mazda every now and then. She’s had it for over a year and only put 2,000 miles on it. LOL
