“ Local News 8” 02/07/26 SDPD data shows the Jeep Wrangler was the most stolen model of car in San Diego for the second year in a row, with 193 reports made to police.

Anyone install an OBD port lock? Any recommendations.

I have a 2025 and being close to the Border, I have hood and wheel locks, just bought a Tevalphee steering wheel lock and I have a SWAT alarm.🥵

That won't stop it from being stolen. See @Terrymo suggestion or install a kill switch off of push start.

At home keep your keys in a faraday pouch or small faraday box. We have a small faraday box on top of the frig and just toss our keys in there. I installed a kill switch made by 41.22. It uses a small black push button micro switch about the diameter of a pencil eraser that can be hidden a lot of different places. https://41twentytwo.com/install-kill-switch/

You need to decide what if anything you want to do to slow them down. You’re going to get a lot of different responses since everyone has to decide what makes them comfortable. All the way from do nothing to have Revelco system professionally installed, Or move, those things don’t happen here, Or I have a manual transmission and “nobody” knows how to operate one so I’m not worried. Lots of wishful thinking. You need to realize a determined thief is probably going to get the Jeep if they want it bad enough.

NoLimitz JL $275 - among it’s many features for theft protection
• RF Hub Block
• Brake Lock
• Tamper Detection
• No Start
• No Torque
• Panic Mode
• Sonic Guard
• Light Show
Many other features including allowing full power in 2 wd on 4xe, https://zautomotive.com for further details

it only had RF Hub block upon launch for theft protection up to the last time I checked, so the additional ones must be fairly recent.

My 2016 that was stolen was a manual. My 2025 that they attempted to steal last month was a manual. The cartels know have to drive manuals.

Go get the RFH done and it won't be stolen. Use hood locks and a club to hopefully prevent them from breaking your shit trying to steal it. They were in the process of breaking the window on my 2025 when I yelled at them. I don't think they even saw the hood locks or had any clue what they were doing. You need as many obvious-as-fuck deterrents as possible to stop them from destroying your vehicle. Shit sucks but it is what it is living near the capital of thievery that is TJ.

FWIW trackers are useless. When they stole my 2016 it was across the border within the hour. They don't do shit once it's across.

Yes we all try to convince ourselves it can’t happen to us. It’s certainly more prevalent in some areas, but the reality is it can happen anywhere.

I heard it mentioned that NoLimits can be disabled by unplugging it from the canbus block behind the glove box. Alternatively, it could be plugged into the block in passenger rear wheel well. One would have to extend the twisted CAN wire pair to reach that far, but it's unlikely someone would find it there.

None... but it pays well.
Well, CA has been a safe haven... you can literally walk out of a store with stolen merchandise and nobody will stop you. Some states you have the right to protect your property and life.

Depending on your age, renember when South Africa had it real bad with car jacking? There was a company that installed a James Bond type system to release pressurized ignited gas at a car jacker before they can reach in from window. Apparently word got around and car jacking declined with luxury and prized vehicals.
