If the $140 OBD adapter you're referring to is the OBDLink MX+, I have it and it works great. I paid $60 (double discount sale) for it about half a dozen years ago, though. It looks like there are less expensive, JScan-approved options.

You can get the app for free if I remember correctly. That way you can see what all is there. I think you pay when you buy a license for your specific VIN.

Just use one of the recommended ones that JSCAN suggests, I tried the high $$ one and also one of the cheaper versions and they both worked the same, been using JSCAN since like 2019 and it has some great features, the Start/Stop function is subpar so I use a Start/Stop Elimantor for that and all have worked perfectly.

To answer this question specifically, yes you can do an ABS bleed with OBD J-Scan.

Speaking of J-Scan. Anyone know how to navigate it to the point where i can do a transmission relearn? Just regeared and want to reset that if possible.

I believe it’s under the Adaptation>Vehicle Maintenance. There is a long and short quick learn option.

Not 100% sure but I think the JL will relearn on its own but don’t take my word on it, you may be better off going into axle ratio and changing what ratio gear you went to it’s under Tire and Axle settings

Go to “Adaptations” / Tire and Wheel Settings”. You also have to run 6th gear relearn proceedure.
