Odd, I actually get a bit more than that. Around 9-10. I wouldnāt hesitate to daily drive the Jeep if I had to. Itās pretty comfy and well mannered.
Thanks! Yeah no regrets with fusion. I beat the hell of them over various trips, but they really shined at KOH. 7 straight days of serious abuse and absolutely no problems.
Yeah 5.38s. No issues at all on the highway. I very rarely take it out but itāll hold 70-75 without drama. Itād be even better with a radial. The first 5 mins of every drive in the Jeep is bumpy as hell while working out the flat spots in the bias tire š
Sure, but physics also states that for very off camber situations, less weight down low and more weight up high equates to a higher chance of rolling a Jeep over.
Youāre absolutely correct about rotating mass and its effects, but my point is still that itās all about trade offs.
This is all...
Seems weāre at a difference of opinion here, and of course youāre entitled to yours. I hated mine, and you seem to favor yours despite your noted deficiencies.
The absolute worst? Can I ask your reasoning for that? Youāve mentioned MPG and throttle response, but those arenāt things Iām overly...
Well first letās agree that ride comfort is a criminally subjective topic.
In my experience, Duratracs are trash. They are the stock tire for my F250 and the Coopers I replaced them are substantially better.
second, I never suggested the need or even preference for load range E tires on a...
Thatās 99% down to the drastic difference in suspension design and intent. Load range E tires at an appropriate PSI for a Jeep are not nearly as big of an issue as people make them out to be.
P.S. knock your Ramās front tires down to 63-65 front and 40-45 rear. Itāll ride way better. Look up...
May not be the answer you were looking for, but in my case, I have that separation at several points on my Jeep from years of hard wheeling, frame impacts, etc.
I have done nothing to address it and it hasnāt gotten any worse than that. The aluminum body underneath isnāt gonna rust.
Iād assume you were planning to have a helper, but you definitely need one for the ABS bleed.
i had my wife sit in the Jeep with the phone and pressing the brake pedal as required, and then just telling me what the next step/where to go was.
The next venture flares look great. Saw a set of them paint matched white at King of the Hammers last week. Iād really love to make use of them, but everyoneās build direction is different of course.
Are they factory 4.88s or did you have them done post purchase? Sorry for the potentially ignorant question, my JL is a 19 and I have no idea what gears are offered from the factory these days.
if factory gears, you could take it up with the dealer. At least start the ācomplaintā paper trail...
Depending on your wheeling plans (I know you state overland), you may want to entertain keeping the stock fenders and gutting them.
Iāve himmed and hawed over fenders for the 3 years Iāve wheeled the Jeep on various tire sizes, and now that Iām on 42s and getting into the pretty serious end of...
Yeah it helped a good bit. I could probably afford to do another round of bleeding to be honest, but they work well enough.
Before the bleed they straight didnāt work. I couldnāt keep the Jeep stopped in 4L and drive at idle.
thanks! I looked at those as well, and entertained the oracle lights, but ultimately felt like the lights had better protection in the GR corners. These lights are easy to replace if I do somehow damage them. Canāt really go wrong with any of the options, as long as youāre getting rid of those...
