It's a "pedal" that doesn't function, usually located to the far left of the driver's footwell. Most vehicles have some sort of "pad" or block or something over there. It's where you would rest your left foot while your right foot is manipulating the pedals. Less common on manual transmission, since you have the clutch pedal.This might be a stupid question but what is a dead pedal???
