I first read this article about Jeep buying an old textile factory and turning it into a customization shop over a year ago, but I'm not sure that any of that actually happened.

Did it? Will we have additional customization options in future builds?

From the linked Autoblog article (LINK), it mentions customizing Jeeps with larger tires and adding lights and running boards. I'm sure there's probably some market for that outside of DIY and local shops, but imo, that facility would be put to better use actually getting the Jeep Performance Parts catalog further into production. They're constantly releasing really cool one-off concept builds multiple times a year, but so much of that stuff never seems to make it onto the market and into the consumers' hands.
