Actually something I saw a buddy do that I thought was clever, but a bit dirty.

For with ARB dual he just used Aux1 and Aux2 (40A) each to each power one of the power feeds. With this setup no added fuses or anything needed. He just hits Aux1/Aux2 at the same time and away it runs.

I don't love having to hit both switches but also do think it makes for a clean install.

So does the vent now just blow onto the compressor? Like it’s cut shorter?

Take a look in these instructions for all the details.

I have a 2 door and have beengoing back and forth between a single compressor hard mounted and the portable version.

Has anyone mounted a single compressor underneath a seat or in cargo tub? Can ARB dual bracket be used for a single? What about mounting in the cargo tub without a bracket?

Also (this may be a stupid question, forgive my ignorance) but if mounted in the cargo tub, can you just tap into the 12v cig lighter in the back? (vs running power all the way to the battery through the firewall)

IF you want to do single:

Under seat or in cargo tub using Rusty's bracket. You can run it off one of the 40A AUX stitches.

If you want to do double:

Same for location but need to run a power feed from battery, and use one of the 15A aux as the on/off or a separate on/off switch.

I suggest the ARB under seat if you go that route; or the Rusty's tub.

Dual compressor is not in the conversation, definitely overkill for my intended use.

I didn’t opt for tow package so don’t have the factory aux switches..

It looks like people have mounted under the front seats without issue, so leaning that way, but would prefer not to put a hole in the firewall which is why I’m considering the cargo tub *IF* I can just tap into the 12v cig lighter that’s already back there. If I would still need to go through firewall, I’m not sure it would make sense.

As far as Rusty’s cargo bracket - This looks great thanks for the tip.

just to confirm, you’re saying the ARB seat bracket will also work with the single compressor?

The single takes 40A, won't run off cig lighter.

If you run under seat use the drain plug to prevent going through firewall. Numerous instructions that outline the routing to get power under the seat through drain plug.
