another data point: i ran the Mopar Performance spare tire reinforcement with 35s and 37s and my tailgate is definitely twisted.
My 392 XR came with the Mopar Performance spare tire reinforcement and 35s from the factory. I very lightly scuffed the bottom of the spare tire on a ledge. I was just barely moving as I crept off the ledge and wondered if I had touched the spare tire. It was such a light touch that I wasn't even sure it had happened. So I got out and looked at the bottom of the spare tire and there was a tiny little scuff mark on it. Well, that tiny little barely noticeable scuff on a ledge bent my tailgate. I couldn't believe it. It seemed like the Mopar Performance spare tire reinforcement was about as strong as tissue paper.

I replaced it with a CavFab spare tire carrier and tailgate reinforcement. The difference in beefiness was like night and day. And the CavFab tailgate reinforcement was stout enough that when I tightened down the bolts to the tailgate it pulled the tailgate straight again.

I scored a Mopar relocation bracket on Amazon for 1/2 price because it said the packaging was damaged...it had a scuff on the outside of the box. I like it much better than the Rough country relocation bracket I was using because it sits down lower by 1.5" and is tucked in tighter to the tailgate by 3/4"...wouldn't work with a 38" tire but perfect for a 37. also an added bonus the mopar relocation bracket weigh about half of what the RC one did...
