Hello,

I have 37s on my jeep and did the READY LIFT spare tire relocated and now feel like i need to reinforce the tail gate.

I'm curious will any reinforcement work with this ready lift bracket or?

Based on this disclaimer alone, I’d venture to say….no.

I personally wouldn’t put 37’s on the stock tailgate if I was wheeling it. For 35’s I’d feel fine with the MOPAR reinforcement but for 37’s or a heavy 35/wheel combo I’d go for the Teraflex, Cabfab or Motobilt carrier. I did the Teraflex.

I agree with @ChuckQue and removed the OEM reinforcement and went with the Motobilt version on my wife's JLUR. CavFab was a close second. Probably the biggest benefit to me was the change to beefier hinges along with the tailgate stiffening.

Same as lashee, except I went with the Teraflex carrier and hinge. I got the carrier first and Teraflex said that it would be ok with 108 lbs of KO2 and Mopar wheel. It seemed ok from March til August and I noticed a little deflection on the tailgate and replaced the hinges with the Teraflex hinge. With the tire carrier adjustable fore and aft, you can slide the tire so that it uses the hinge frame for support. I closes more solidly than the stock tailgate with the replacement carrier.

Just installed the tyger brand tail gate reinforcement. Seems solid

I've had the rugged ridge Spartacus for 30k miles now and a ton of off-road. It's been solid as a rock and noise free. It was highly recommended by a local shop that does a ton of work on jeeps and the premier shop in the Denver area so you know they see everything :). He said they've installed a lot of them and no issues in years of use. It also closes with your pinky finger.

I think any that replace the stock gate hinges and also brace are gtg.

Just wondering...do the other brands mentioned here allow depth and tilt of the spare? The Spartacus has 4 tilt settings which I thought was pretty nice. I can get the top of the tire angled and just clearing the rear wiper which I suppose is better for weight distribution as well. It's very tight to the rear window.

yeah Rusty's always provide massive price/performance. I almost went with their lift kit.

Just so that he could reach in and route the wires. It is really only 1 bolt to remove the whole tail light assembly (at least on the LED models).

Yeah -- @Headbarcode and some buddies hung off his and it would not budge and it was the reason I went with it. It is seriously a beast and when I added the LOD camera relocation, it means that I have nothing to remove to replace (aside from the lug nuts) to remove the spare.

I am building a set of brackets to add the OEM 3rd brake light back to it and that part will be 100% completed.

The Teraflex can’t, but it pulls the tire TIGHT. This thing doesn’t move at ALL ? I may try bumping it out just a hair so it’s still tight but doesn’t distort the sidewall as much.
