The auto can't really keep up with how fast the RPMs change... the manual might have a chance (or just skip gears)
Can honestly say Ive never wot on a flat surface in 4L but it seems to do just fine wot in 4L on a rock spinning the tires lol

For steering by wire though - certainly many of the lessons learned in the aircraft field would be applicable to autos. Not quite starting from scratch.

I feel like there's probably some nanny that stops it from going to 100% throttle.

Biggest lessons in flight software safety are documented requirements, thoroughly defined and reviewed design, and a metric shit-ton of testing. None of that is required for automotive software. And since it easily quadruples development costs, you're never going to see car companies do it.

probably for the better really.
Lots of axle shafts that're probably happy that 95% throttle pedal probably really means like 80% throttle opening.

At least there will be some real-world testing with a dumpster vehicle most won't buy.

That's because it started out as more out of less, and then he kept talking, and his statement turned into more out of more, so then he had to go back and claim that less actually means more.

And one that's gathered an odd following of people who like to test it till it breaks. Lots of good data to be generated.

Might save the axles too.
The 2.0t is torque limited in 4LO according to jeep. The superchips tune removed that and the difference was obvious. No idea how much torque limiting there was, but you could definitely feel the difference. Not sure if the 3.6L has a similar factory tune, it's imagine the derating "fix" for the exploding clutches would be more aggressive in 4LO, but that's just speculation.
