Can anyone here disagree that today’s Rubi is on par with today’s Land Rover? Sure, you’ll get the occasional owner who knows how to change a spark plug, but come on. Let’s be real here. 99% of Rubi’s will never see a bump larger than the curb it accidentally hit when the driver was paying more attention to painting her nails than driving.
I've yet to see anyone here argue that the vast, overwhelming majority of Jeep owners (be they Rubi, Sahara or Sports) don't actually take them offroad much, if at all. But why does that matter? It's not your vehicle, your money or your business.

What does matter is: if you're going to go offroad....you probably should at least consider the Rubicon, unless your version of offroading is pretty simplistic dirt roads (not really trails), muddin' and a few snow runs here and there. Or, you plan to buy the most base model sport b/c you're going to completely gut it and put in a much better drivetrain....but then why buy anything but a body and just build the frame and everything else from scratch?

According to your profile, you've got an '08 JKUX. How's that modded? ;)

That’s bullshit. You can’t drive on dirt roads without a Rubicon. You’ll get stuck or ruin your Jeep.

Would it be ok for me to paint the hooks on the front bumper of my Moab red?
I don't see why not. I installed the Mopar switches for the sway bar disco and lockers, as far as anyone else knows they actually do something.

Actually I’d say 99% is low. As I read your post, guess what I saw? A Chinese woman with one of those full face sun visors driving a Rubi, and it’s raining. No offense to Rubi driving Chinese women wearing full face sun visors while it’s raining at all. Actually, I do have a question for the Rubi driving Chinese women wearing full face sun visors while it’s raining: What prompted you to purchase a Rubi? Forgive me for assuming, but I figure you have no intention to ever be in a predicament where you’ll need to use any of its tech.
If this really did happen then I think I know why, because in recent years, I've noticed a lot of Jeeps in Chinese films/tv shows where the characters are very wealthy but they drive Jeeps instead of the usual german luxury. Apparently Jeeps are a big thing in China, where even the super wealthy are driving them. It's obviously not for comfort or luxury, so I'm thinking more for the capability to drive anywhere and everywhere throughout that shithole

I think you missed the part about this all being a joke my friend. Of course I don’t care who does what with their Jeeps. Being an X owner, I’m just joining the fight with the Moabs.

Anyone remember the 2WD JK’s? I think they only last from 2007 to 2008? Maybe they only lasted one year in 2007? Poor owners were laughed off of every Jeep forum in existence. I wonder if any 2WD’s exist any more? Whenever I see a 2007 or 2008 with that funky 2WD profile, I try to get a look at the axles or the lack of the “trail rated” badge. Been years since I’ve seen one. For the collector, it might be something to have, i can’t think of any other 2WD Wrangler ever made. Anyone remember the 2WD JK?
