Why? It seems to me that the MOAB is basically a fully loaded Sahara with Rubicon fenders. I just feel that it should be a more capable off road vehicle than the Rubicon if it is going to be named MOAB, right? Not just more capable navigating the treacherous turns of a Starbucks drive through.
So........ you were saying......

This definitely turned into something I didn't expect, but kind of loving it lol. A lot of funny stuff, and I appreciate the fact that I got an answer.

Honestly my opinion is if the MOAB was offered as a 2 door, with 4:10 or 3:73 even, I'd probably look at one. Yeah, I am gonna go RUBI because of what I want to get is available in that line vs the others. Not the sport, and not the Sahara/MOABs. Oh well. I'm just excited about getting a Jeep Wrangler period!

Now...if deployment would just hurry up and finish lol.....

Can anyone here disagree that today’s Rubi is on par with today’s Land Rover? Sure, you’ll get the occasional owner who knows how to change a spark plug, but come on. Let’s be real here. 99% of Rubi’s will never see a bump larger than the curb it accidentally hit when the driver was paying more attention to painting her nails than driving.
That is exactly what I was trying to say at the beginning of this thread. I live in Miami, home of the brodozer. I can't tell you how many rubicons I see that have all this cheap aftermarket crap on them with angry eyes, 7 light bars, 37 inch tires with 22 inch rims, a huge jack on the hood, gas cans on the sides and they NEVER go off roading. In fact they are the cleanest vehicles on the road. I choose not to be a poser and be practical with what I actually would need and use. if I wanted to 'blend in' with the jeeps in Miami I would have bought a rubicon.

Something to say about being unique.

I would say you are right to a certain extent, but 99% is way high. Here is more gratuitous pics of one of my Rubicons in Moab. Brand new. Still had the temporary tags on it.

Guys excuse my ignorance but what makes the KM2's so bad? is it the noise because at around 70 they do make a whine but nothing I can't block out by turning up the radio? I took a road trip last week from Miami to Jacksonville and they performed fine.

I grew up with CJ-5's and 7's and my dad had a '73 Land cruiser and compared to those these tires are much quieter. I just see that we take a lot for granted now and any minor thing we tend to complain about. So what's the deal with the tires?
People complain because they are loud, and they tend not to be as durable. They wear out faster on pavement.

Actually I’d say 99% is low. As I read your post, guess what I saw? A Chinese woman with one of those full face sun visors driving a Rubi, and it’s raining. No offense to Rubi driving Chinese women wearing full face sun visors while it’s raining at all. Actually, I do have a question for the Rubi driving Chinese women wearing full face sun visors while it’s raining: What prompted you to purchase a Rubi? Forgive me for assuming, but I figure you have no intention to ever be in a predicament where you’ll need to use any of its tech.

She probably couldn't afford a Moab.

These pics....this is what I want to start doing. Just seeing everything. I don't feel like I need to rock climb personally, but if the trails have it I want to be able to get through it. I am mostly wanting to get out and see things.

Yes. Send me a msg if you ever find yourself in AZ/UT.

But please, only if you have a Rubicon.

I'm from AZ originally. Currently stationed in VA, but building a house in Surprise, AZ. I retire from the Navy in just under 5 years. I will be in and out of the area until then lol.

That's the main reason I have not ordered/bought my Jeep yet. I need to close on the house in AZ, and finish deployment lol.... The waiting sucks.

If you wanted to be unique, you wouldn't have bought a Jeep. "I wanna be different....just like everybody else".
