I highly doubt it, but I wanted to see if anyone in this forum had any experience with this piggyback product?

Evidently, these have been out since the beginning of this year and they make some interesting performance claims...yeah, I’ll leave it at that.

Not a Wrangler, but the only Jeep video I could find on the product.

I’ve been eyeing a lot of the options out there, but not really wanting to drop $500-600 on a piggyback system. The next most affordable option is the Racechip S model at $250
Anyway, at $100 this looks tempting, but I also don’t want to mess-up my Jeep.

But, that's 17% and 35% increase on "PEAK" HP/Torque...... It is under performing the OEM tuning in the lower RPM range where we are most of the time.

The torque curve with the tune doesn't make sense for our application. 50% or so of loss in torque in lower rpm that the graph seems to be showing would really suck.

Also, I really don't believe these claims. I think there's some inconsistencies in their data/claims.

I highly doubt this would do anything at all, and could likely cause damage. I mean, look at that fake dyno chart with absolutely no numbers on the graph portion. Even if it did have numbers, it looks absolutely nothing what the actual dyno from multiple sources. Also the point that HP & torque (in ft-lbs) cross should ALWAYS be at 5252 RPM, but their graph shows the crossing at two different RPMs... not that we can even tell what RPM that is in the first place.

Then there's the issue with their torque units... is it Nm or lb-ft? No reputable company or even dedicated scammer would get these confused.

As a follow-up, I reached out to the company to ask the questions below:
  • Do you all have actual Dyno charts? Not marketing slides.
  • Has any AFR testing been done to ensure safety?
  • Also, do you have pictures of the Jeep Wrangler on the Dyno?
Their response was - they don’t have any Dyno sheets to share and the product is safe...we promise....Wow

On another note I was able to find an unused Racechip RS piggyback tuner for cheap. I’ll use it until the Vaitrix product becomes available.
