Yeah, I don't get the whole appointment thing and having to wait. Most good shops beat the allotted time for repairs and pocket the extra pay. Seems like Jeeo dealerships are going in the opposite direction. I'm demanding a loaner vehicle every time they go beyond the day they say it will be ready. I don't need it, but it's necessary to speed them along.Just back from the dealer again. This is a different dealer that I made an appointment with 2 months ago (their soonest available appointment). Dropped off the Jeep early this morning and explained the issue with the service writer. He didn’t have a clue so I talked with his boss and he said they’d probably need to order a whole new axle after the “technician “ diagnosed the issue. I showed him the newest service bulletin that shows you can now just order the sensor. He said great. 5 hour later I get a call and they tell me a technician won’t be able to look at my Jeep until Thursday. I go politely ballistic and ask to talk with the service manager. He says they are busy. I say that’s why I made an appointment 2 months ago. I then explain the whole thing again about them still needing to order a part and it will only take 5 minutes for a technician to verify. This was an hour ago. I’ll see how it goes. Maybe they just want to wear me down so I’ll order the $300 part myself.
