You're not wrong, but some guys just hook them up to aux switches. Seems like a fix to me.Because they bypass the sensor, so not a true fix.

That's with a Mopar harness rerouted to aux switch wiring. Not the same as the Z Automotive cable. You're not wrong, but some guys just hook them up to aux switches. Seems like a fix to me.
the dealer tech won't look at it, they'll just dump the oil out for shipping (hazmat) it back to jeep. but jeep might tear it apart to look at the sensor, unless they've seen enough already. There’s no way they’re even pulling the sensors to inspect them. Even if they did I doubt they will know what they’re looking at.
They’re not replacing axles anymore, the replacement sensors are now available.the dealer tech won't look at it, they'll just dump the oil out for shipping (hazmat) it back to jeep. but jeep might tear it apart to look at the sensor, unless they've seen enough already.
Covered in Dust said he's getting a new axle. They’re not replacing axles anymore, the replacement sensors are now available.
Why am I not surprised. Pot that sensor and never worry about it again.I got the new axle a couple of weeks ago. Just got a call from the dealer saying my sensor is in and do I want to make an appointment to have it installed. I told them the axle was replaced last month. They still wantEd to now if I wanted the sensor replaced. I jokingly asked if they could just give me the sensor and they said no.
I never had a new enough vehicle to have a warranty. But is it possible to keep the removed parts or at least buy it back? Assuming I could keep the axle at a reasonable price, I would happily allow them to replace it.Not in my case. I told them to get the sensor and gave them the number and they called a week later and said I was getting a new axle. We’ll see what actually happens if I ever get my Jeep back from the dealer.
Ok, for continuity sake, before I got above message from parts guy, I had potted #5 yesterday. Threw it back in today and it's good to go. @chevymitchell knows about all this as well. Either way, I'm happy I don't need to explain to the wife why there is a weird flashing on the dash and locker switch. Lol.Turns out there is a reason for 5 being sent to me.
