Can you look at a '24 X build sheet and find "leather-wrapped" anywhere?

Hm, my Willys 4xe build sheet just says "premium wrapped steering wheel". I have the heated seats and steering wheel package.

If we're talking favorite car ever, mine is the '71 Javelin. I will never forget seeing that car in an indigo color when I was a kid and later looked up what it was.

The AMC’s are under appreciated as collectibles, my guess would be because their were no true “top tier” muscle cars like my 69 GTX that was still accelerating at 170 mph.
I always liked the “Avanti” too, but Studebakers aren’t high collectibles either otherwise.

I read an article yesterday about Ford expanding the “”Mustang” line with 4drs etc. doesn’t the “Mustang” Mach e bastardize the badge enough ?

I used to love that car, that 301 Pontiac engine ran smooth as silk. Brings back a lot good memories, there was plenty of room in that car if you know what I mean.

My 23 JLURXR says “premium“ wrapped steering wheel on the build sheet and window sticker, but leather wrapped shift knob, leather wrapped park brake handle, and leather “trimmed“ bucket seats. I guess I don’t really care either way

That's what my window sticker says as well. And I'm assuming "leather-wrapped" under options supersedes "premium-wrapped" in the standard equipment section, which I'm guessing is PU/pleather or maybe just rubber and hard plastic?

Not all that crazy about the look and feel of the soft matte texture compared to the last leather steering wheel I had, but honestly don't care too much if it's real or fake, as long as it holds up to normal wear and doesn't look like complete shit a decade from now.

My window stick from my 2018 shows leather trimmed bucket seats, leather wrapped shift know and leather wrapped park brake handle. I thought for sure the steering wheel was leather

Not 100% sure, but I think OP is claiming only the '24 MY or maybe only the Rubicon X has a fake leather wheel.

I'm guessing either they're mistaken or that Jeep decided to only give the "premium" wheel to X owners, which doesn't make sense imo given the trim has Nappa seats standard. But.. if you look at the standard feature list of the X, it doesn't state "leather-wrapped steering wheel" anywhere and only says "premium-wrapped" and "heated", so it's entirely possible this is a weird '24/X design choice (or oversight) and not necessarily false-advertising on their part. If so, I agree that it's a stupid and cheap cost-cutting thing for Jeep to do, at least on any trim that otherwise includes leather seats, whether standard or optioned.

It is just amazing that you pay like $70,000 and get less and less as the years go on. It's terrible.
I'm debating getting a new '24 or just buy a used one.

I can't get over the fact we have a 6 paged thread on what material the steering wheel is wrapped with....on a Jeep Wrangler lol.

Personally couldn't careless, I'm too busy figuring out the right set of parts to fit 38/12.50r17 Nittos RGs with only a 2.5 inch lift including split stock fenders, Artec inners etc.

If the steering wheel turns the front wheels when I ask it to then all is good with the world

There's nothing special about any "AEV Wrangler" before it gets sent to AEV, so I don't know.

I checked a few '24 X build sheets and they all said premium, not leather.

Funny thing about this conversation is my 22 392 is in for service and they had to give me a loaner since it ended up being over night. The loaner was a fairly base 24 Sahara. The feel of the steering wheel leather or whatever it is has been giving me the cringe. I have also noticed a lot of the common parts between my 22 and the 24 almost seem like the plastic is cheaper. Although the big screen is flashy and nice the 18 -24 dash setup looks and feels way better to me. I get it that it’s a Jeeps and I like to get mine dirty just as much as the next guy. They are however pretty damn expensive these days for what they are and there is no reason they cannot still have nice interior and be capable.
