have a Rubicon, but I used to have a Willys Sport with the Rubber steering wheel.Pfft..mines rubber. And feels like used rubbers!
Rubber steering wheels are actually easier to clean and keep looking nice.

What is pleather? Is that vinyl? Most people wouldn't like real open pore latigo leather for a steering wheel cover. It allows skin oils, burger and fries grease and taco sauce to penetrate it, and eventually, it stinks. I'm cool with my pleather covered steering wheel. Whatever foaming interior cleaner I'm using cleans it nicely. I used to clean my truck's pleather steering wheel with my cowboy boot cream.
Why did he get banned?Yeah, I'm aware of that, just that he would have been helpful here.
Me too. All these different materials I'm going coo coo.I had to look that one up!

Bro, would you consider changing your member name to Sugarbooger? I for some reason can't get that nick name out of my mind.To be honest... my 2019 leather wheel and shift knobs feel and wear like leather. Less cushion feel than most others I have had, but maybe because of the heated components, which are a first time experience for me. As long as the feel is there, complaints should be more from non leather optioned wheel users.
try it and let us know how it goes!If they say we're paying for leather and it's not then that would be excellent grounds for a lawsuit.
I haven't quite been following this thread. My leather wrapped steering wheel is wrapped in leather. Are people claiming their leather wrapped steering wheels aren't wrapped in leather?
Ha! Well I never thought to change. The few forums I linger around don't allow it, so what can I do about it here?Bro, would you consider changing your member name to Sugarbooger? I for some reason can't get that nick name out of my mind.
Yeah I think you can change it in your settings. I think? Your grandma would be so proud, just go with it bro, just go with it.I think

Just dry out over a very long duration of weathering left alone. Since most will cover their tops, internal humidity will somewhat keep the leather from a long slow continuous dehydration. Our leathers for automotive industry usually require sealer with UV protection on the order. The seat manufacturer then orders material under the orders requirements before making the seats.Wouldn’t leather get destroyed with the top off and the sun beating on it?
Could not find name change. If it is there, it's burried.Yeah I think you can change it in your settings. I think? Your grandma would be so proud, just go with it bro, just go with it.

The modern corporate strategy, “Make ‘em pay more to get less!”It just seems that they keep making changes to the wrangler and keep cutting things out. It really stinks.
My 2009 king ranch f-150 had really nice leather seats. Not sealed. Had to be very careful and regularly apply the KR conditioner. I believe it was called chaparral and was like saddle leather.Since the 80s leather has been sealed. Earlier leather had a different feel and richer smell. To me every 10 years leather has been less and less leather like than of long ago.
Only expensive foreign cars have unprotected / unsealed leather. I admit the leather seats of 15 years ago had some smell, but even less so now in domestic cars.
