If you want to speculate, buy crypto. Your apocalyptic description of what happens is if the problem is ignored. It's no different than saying an engine will be ruined if you drive it without water until it stops running because a $20 hose went bad. Lots of problems are catastrophic if ignored yet have a straight forward fix at the outset. Can you let up with the FUD?
Ok bud. I’ll stop contributing to the discussion. It seems to upset you.

"upset" that's a low blow. How about offended? Nobody wants to hear their engine is going to blow up from someone who doesn't know what they are taking about.

You said that you would leave the discussion, so leave and stop offending everyone around here with your nonsense, speculation and negative attitude.
I did stop contributing. Now you’re ranting. I’ve been here since Oct 2019 regularly and my sharing of my experience hasn’t offended anyone but you bud. It’ll be ok. Calm down.

The answer is a few people posting in this forum are making more noise than reality justifies. They never had a problem and don't personally know anyone who did. My '23 has 13k on it. So far so good. Forums are not reality and lots of what one reads in them is BS.
Wait until you run out of warranty then come here shit on your pants

Exactly. Issue a TSB, and don't admit it's been fixed. Also, it doesn't help us that are out of warranty. Another "Big Warm Hug", from Stellantis.
But, it’s not a design problem it’s a parts manufacturing problem. Very few engines are affected. If it was a design problem the failure rates would have been much higher and the engine would have been redesigned.

Yes, you are not contributing, you are trolling. Using words like "upset" and "ranting" are personal attacks. Go away. If anyone is getting mental around here it's you.

I’m sure this question has been asked so many times. If folks hate this engine so much why get another Jeep with the same engine? I’ve no problems with either of my 3.6s first one went for 150k no issues got traded in because I needed a commuter. My 25 has ~4700 on it now. If you hate the 3.6 so much why not get the 392? Or something that doesn’t have this motor? Or LS swap it? Why put yourself through it again and again and again?

What is TSB and what should I do about it? Mine is a 2024 3.6
TSB = Technical service bulletin.

It says, "That is, on or before November 14, 2024."

You don't need to do anything.

WHAT is considered "Rough idle" and "ticking"?
This is the problem. Every dealer in the country is going to tell you that is just how the pentastar sounds and that nothing is wrong. So, everyone is then going to wait until they get the SEL codes, which, as far as I know, is too late. By the time the codes pop up, your engine is full of metal shavings and likely needs to be completely replaced.

My 23 started ticking around the time of its first oil change. Didn’t think much of it. Thought it was just break in noises and would smooth out with new oil. Brought it in just before Christmas (a few oil changes later) and they replaced all the cams and rockers. Almost the whole top end. Being a manual trans, it’s really sensitive to reductions in power. The ticking got worse and the power got less.

Now happily tick free and got what little power I had back.
