I have noticed lately that I get notifications that a "Tow Truck Vehicle Ahead" and that is prior to the update, not sure the reason for that alert...I got it today. Had an annoying emergency vehicle warning take over the screen while I was in Denver this evening. And, of course, no emergency vehicle around.
+1 - the new alert is not tied to update. I am still on 39.6, but that alert started coming up every time I drive by our firehouse. Useless and annoying. I hope Tazer develops a way to disable it like they did for TravelLink.I have noticed lately that I get notifications that a "Tow Truck Vehicle Ahead" and that is prior to the update, not sure the reason for that alert...
I did this for fun on the way out of the mountains a couple weeks ago. 94.6 MPG!I updated the software yesterday, and I'm now getting 40 MPG fuel efficiency!

I recently installed a new radio head because the OEM head had Canadian firmware in it and couldn't receive updates here in the US. My new head was built in Feb of 2023 and has version 39.7.0. I believe some of the OTA updates are 40.x.xDoes anyone know what the new version number is? Mine currently says 21.32.14
Does yours have the Canadian firmware as well?Yeah, I think that’s what my problem is. I upgraded mine as well and even though it’s OEM, it won’t update automatically. I’m going to have to figure out how to do it from the USB. ?‍![]()
And don’t get me started on dealerships. I’m sure plenty are wonderful, but in Southern California, it’s like, let’s do the least amount as possible and make the customer feel completely inept. I’m sitting here now actually and have decided that unless it’s a huge warranty issue, in the future I’ll just have my local mechanic do the work.Does yours have the Canadian firmware as well?
I took mine into the local dealer and either they didn't understand what I was trying to accomplish when I asked them to update the head to the US firmware or they didn't know how. They said they did it, but when I checked when I got home, nothing had been changed. But they did charge me for it (as well as the rear window defroster repair that failed again within minutes of leaving the dealership). I'm not a very patient person so rather than arguing with the dealer, I paid the bill and moved on.
I was able to sell my old radio head to a company that repairs them. They gave me $500 for the old unit. That helped off-set the cost of the new one.
