So, this morning whilst out on a trail, the jeep decided it wanted to update UConnect, and I let it.

The update was rather quick. However, while it appears to be faster and more responsive, (ex "Play album Who's next" is now very snappy. I probably have 10,000 + songs stored on the SSD in my console and switching seems faster. But, they seemed to have removed USB 2 as a media source. You have XM, Bluetooth, Android Auto, FM, USB 1, etc BUT NO USB 2.

They did however provide a "much sought after new feature" - you now have a new media source - SD CARD. After I got home i spent a while looking for our SD CARD slot, ;) gave up and decided to plug the ssd in to USB 1.

Great Job Programmers, Great Job !!!:clap::clap::clap::clap:

I am guessing the SD card slot option will disappear in a day or two when it learns what options are on your vehicle. I am curious what is the build number for your update? This can be found on >vehicle >settings >system information>version(or something close to that) Guessing FCA-MY24.U33.43-PROD seems to be the latest build on JLs and JTs with Uconnect5. I have had 5 update failed messages in the past two weeks and my build is still FCA-MY24.U29.44-PROD. Thanks and glad the update worked for you.

It "partially" worked. Up till today I kept the SSD in the console, now it's by the gear shift. Jeeps haven't had an SD slot that I know of, since my wife's 2017 JGC. That's UConnect 3 (before Carplay and AA).

I'll have to go out and look at the build number.

Sure enough, 2 days later no SD card option and USB 2 has returned. Oddly enough the jeep starts up to a screen that allows you to choose the driver, and today I got a low tire pressure warning on the UConnect screen with an option to call for help.

There's another thread in here, somewhere where the poster states that this update makes the UConnect seem quicker and more responsive. I would agree with that.

Has anyone a 2024 Wrangler, other than me, NOT received the update yet? When I see others discussing updates, even just discussing the issues, I still want the download. It's a sickness. When ill it be my turn, and I wonder what the is the determining factor for Jeep to target when the updates get rolled out to individuals.
