yesterday while I was driving I got a notice on my screen that Uconnect 5 was unable to complete upload. I did not even know it was trying to upload anything. I was on a roadtrip and continued driving for another 175 miles or so before stoping for the night. today returned home and about 5 miles from home my screen when dark and i got a message telling me update in process and do not drive the vehicle and put it in park....I was in traffic so continued home where I pulled into my drive way and put it in park and got the message upload complete. It then said explore your new features or something like that and then normal screen popped up and no indication what the new features are. anyone have a clue what new features I should be looking for? 2024 rubicon..purchased new about 1.5 months ago.

Android auto looks different than it did before. Only thing I've really noticed.

thanks. I don't have an android so at least it explains why I did not notice anything.

UConnect's update process could be better, definitely. They'll periodically send OTA (Over The Air) updates for the UConnect system which seem more hazardous with the warnings then they actually are. Follow the directions, meaning don't restart the vehicles after shutting it off after the warning and things will go smoothly.

If you restart, the process will usually be forced to abandon itself and try again later. This is because when you restart, the UConnect system performs a reboot which interrupts the update.

You'll also get daily updates to the data cache as well, which are seamless and silent. Those are mainly for map updates if your area makes traffic/construction/etc. info available to the nav system database.

Mine updated last night after I pulled into my garage. I haven’t noticed anything different at all.

I got the update also, only change I noticed was my battery range had been 27 miles when charged, now it shows only 24-25 when fully charged.

I factory reset hoping to be able to use my voice control buttons without having to use Android Auto. Dealer technician now tells me you can only access VC thru Alexa or WiFi ? owners manual does not state this.

Reset did give me new screens though ?

I'm trying to figure out if it's a trim level issue?

This screenshot shows the VOICE tab which I don't have. This radio also has NAV ( I don't)

(sorry to hijack)

I jumped to v44 today too (same version number as @jadmt; 24 JLR 3.6). Used to be on v18. Shouldn't there be a page somewhere that details the upgrades/fixes in each software release? Is there some new feature I have? Is some bug fixed? All I can see different is my Trails Off Road (TOR) access broke and I no longer have access to my local trails. TOR dropped out of my iOS Jeep app as well. I tried a radio reboot (10 sec press of on/off) with no luck restoring TOR full access.
