Has anyone updated their Uconnect Nav with the 2024 update? Worth the $149 or not? I know I can use my iPhone with it for directions, but sometimes it's nice to have the Nav system accurate.

I personally would not update for that high a price unless you regularly drove where the old map was really off! Jeep seems to be in the stone ages on this one, on my F-150 I get connected navigation for $80 a year which includes 4 updates quarterly and includes traffic.

If you want the update, just wait and eventually you’ll get an email a couple of times a year offering the update for $99. I like the built in NAV for backup purposes, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet mostly because I can’t tell from that website what the year/quarter of the map update is. For reference, my Willys is a ā€˜22, and I’m still running the original loaded maps.

The update is absolutely 100% worth it. If you are out in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal it is worth its weight in gold. It constantly updates in the background so you never have to worry. Get lost one time... and it pays for itself.

Just as an alternative to this; if you know you are going to be out in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal you can download / cache maps data for offline use on both iOS and Android.

iOS 17+ Download Offline Map Data in Maps
iOS Download Offline Map Data in Google Maps
Android Download Offline Map Data in Google Maps

A bit more manual effort but doesn't cost $150.

I updated our MY23 back in February and it made a nice improvement, especially in the DFW-area with a lot of road construction and new development.
