Theres a few different ways. As the old saying goes “theres more than one way to skin a cat”. The FCA Toolbox also has a different process (didn't work for me). Jeep does a poor job providing one way to do it let alone any guidance based on the model year. Theres enough different methods on this thread to accomplish the end goal. The same can be said with where to download, I downloaded via Jeep Connect, you can also (if it works) use FCA Toolbox, or Stellantis website.The forum members on this thread are all over the map (pun intended):
- Engine must be running (post#1) versus ignition simply switched on (post#36)
- Can't be driving (post#1) versus it installed as I drove (post#25)
I'm waiting for someone to say they simply air-dropped it from the comfort of their La z Boy.
For the record, the Stellantis download site mentions a running engine, but doesn't mention parked vs moving.
They must be having issues. Nothing happens after I enter the VIN & click download.
