She's in. Financing was worse than I thought but I'll refinance. 5.7 for 72 months, 60 months was 5.8. Everyone was pretty awesome and it was a good experience.

Just out of curiosity, for those who picked up... how long did you wait for your registration / tags to be sent to you?

Maryland tags. Koons sat on it for the full month and I received the tags the exact day the Virginia temporary tags expired. Note that this isn’t a Maryland delay. The tags were FedEx‘d from Koons. I just about fell over when several weeks later I received a check for $19 from Koons for some kind of registration refund. I have no idea what that was about.

DId you finance with Chrysler? Not trying to pry but what tier credit was that rate at? That’s a pretty high rate for a new vehicle.

I was very surprised, I did their financing to get the $1000 off and I had a 860 come back for my credit score. I will be re-financing ASAP with https://www.gscu.org/anything-that-moves.html

Not sure if it matters but I put 22k down and financed about 20k

I just got my tags yesterday - live in NY - picked up jeep on May 21st- they had to overnight me a second set of Virginia tags because my first tag would have expired.

Only 30d temp tag I’m guessing? That’s good they provided an additional temp tag.

Yeah Chrysler financing is absurd. I’m debating doing Chrysler and REFI or just bringing a blank bank ready check in and doing it that way. I’ve never had an issue getting a great rate when buying a car so I’ve never had to refinance one. My only concern with refinancing is the potential for a rate jump after I buy and before I refi. Thoughts/Opinions on this?

My local credit union will guarantee their terms to lock in a rate for 60 days so I guess I could just apply now, lock in the rate, then when the paperwork shows up from Koons switch everything over. As long as I dont go over the 60 days from requesting the loan with GSCU otherwise I would have to re-apply.

I understand some have refinanced right after the first payment but Koons did say three payments need to be made. I dont really want to screw them in any way as I was very pleased with the entire process but I will probably visit my credit union in the next week or so to discuss/lock in a new rate.

I just fix computers but the lady does banking so Ill probably just end up doing what she tells me!

Flying and picking up on the 6th. Will bring a blank bank check as an alternative to CC.

Bought off the lot from Craig last year. Good experience.

There are still good rates out there, especially at Credit Unions. Eglin Federal Credit Union in Fort Walton Beach Fl still has (as of today 07/01/2022...

Waiting on my clear before scheduling shipping, but I did send back my signed financing paperwork earlier this week. I opted to go with the dealer financing to get the $1000 credit. The finance manager called me saying Chrysler's rates were not optimal (I have very good credit) and a lot of people refinance after 3 payments.

Anyways, he told me 72 months at 8% and I said no thank you, I will just go with a pre-approved loan I had from Lightstream that was 5.19% for 84 months. Long story short, the finance manager beat the rate using PNC Bank at 5.15% for 84 months, opted for an extended Mopar service contract (5 years/60K miles I believe bumper to bumper that is prorated should I cancel), and I still received the $1000 off.

I will still refinance after 3 payments with a credit union, but just wanted to share my experience so far. They have been pretty straight forward and not pushy, and worked with me. Now I just need to ship it to Miami.

koons does not give you buy rate, they mark up the financing
this is why they give you 1000 if you finance with them.... they mark it way up and make more $$$
