Just an little update to confirm what my wife tells me. I drove my Sahara for the 3rd time yesterday (got my first jeep wave) and went to 4 different stores, spent about 30+ min. in each store. I never had to pull the door handle more than one time.

Limited sample here as I am 2 days into ownership, but the proximity entry is working flawlessly for me. Even worked on the first pull after it sat out in subzero temperatures all night and was frosted over.

Fingers crossed it continues to work flawlessly.

As the OP, I can confirm what others have already said, mine is only getting worse. It’s at least 4 pulls every time now. I never got an unlock on the first pull anymore.

Definitely hope there is a fix.

Just curious since this delay seems to affect limited folks...maybe try a feesh battery? Wouldnt be shocking if a small percent of fobs had battery problems. Just trying to rule things out and both of our cars prox entry works great and fast...until the battery gets low or something is blocking the transmit oath between pocket and car receiver.

EDIT:6 seconds should not be normal...useless to have it at that point. Hope mines not like that!

So there was an idea that some of us did not update Uconnect and that is why were arent having issues. Well if you go to https://www.driveuconnect.com/support/software-update.html check to see if you need an update. I don't, mine said I was up to date. So the idea of someone updateing and getting this issue is kida out the window.
GrSot25.webp

They may have pulled the update when they noticed problems, so people who didnt update are still running the "latest" version available.

Just out of curiosity, I read in the online manual that the proximity can be turned off and on through the UC, do you think that maybe turning it off, wait a minute (perhaps turn the Jeep on and off cycle) and then turn it back on through the UC that it may reset... Kind of like a cell phone resetting, would help? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, this is just a common sense thing that I would try. Unfortunately, my Jeep hasn't been shipped just yet or I would try this.

Hey guys - have a JL from the dealership for a few more hours today.

Anything anyone wants me to test out to try to help? Get back at me really quickly, if so.

I’ve thought about that, too. I’ve just not went digging for it, yet. May try and reboot it today to see if that changes anything.

I had a 2 pull before it unlocked and a 3 pull before it unlocked. I didn't say anything to the wife, I'll wait to see if it happens to her. Maybe it does it worse over time....
