Thanks for your help in spreading the word.

And, Jeep, if you’re reading this, feel free to reach out. I’m well versed in the issue and can help with understanding.
I also suggest to have each member experiencing this issue to call jeep directly and inform them officially with vin number so they can escalade the issue and take it more seriously and have them come up with an update sooner rather than later. Thanks.

Any update on this, had my Rubicon for 3 weeks and it seems to get worse and worse. I have to stand next to the jeep and wait while the system boots up. Super annoying, most cars I have had you just grab the handle and it unlocks.

Its more random here, but what I have noticed if I touch the inside of the handle with my two fingers, it responds and unlocks a bit faster. but I am getting used to it, an extra second or so won't make a big difference, until they find a solution.
Hope this helps

Many have found that if they do not use the remote start through phone or key fob that the delay goes away. Is this right? No. I am not sure if anyone opened an issue with their dealer about this.

If you have remote start stop using it and see if the response time goes back to normal. If it does I would bring it up with your dealer and get a case logged.

I have my JLUS for almost 2 weeks now (M/T so no remote start), system is flawless, always worked instantaneously at each attempt, driver, passenger or tailgate handle.
So not a “general” JL issue

As long as I love orange and lime green and might have considered Punk’n, or even Mojito, there’s no way I’d touch a Nacho Jeep with a 10 foot pole ! Lol
LOL well then good thing they decided not to make it so there won't be many running around ;)

Same. Orange and lime green are my two favorite colors, but Nacho makes me want to vomit. If I wanted to drive a big ass school bus down the road, I'd buy a big ass schoolbus.

That is really disappointing.

Particularly for a $495 option, which IMO should come standard on a $50,000 vehicle like this anyway.

For what it's worth, my 2011 Lexus is flawless, instant unlock on the first touch of the handle. The only time it hesitates is if for some reason I lock the car and then immediately change my mind to get back in the car seconds later.

Hopefully Jeep will have some update which takes care of this, soon.

This came standard on my last two vehicles, a 2016 Tahoe and 2016 Mustang, so it's a little bit of an adjustment having to actually take my key out, but I agree this should be a standard feature on a vehicle with this price tag, for an extra $495 I had to pass.

From reading this thread it seems like the issues people are having are with delay in unlocking their vehicles. Maybe I have missed it but does anyone have issues with delay in locking.

I have had no issue with unlocking. However, it takes between 5-10 seconds to lock using the button on the handle. I have had passive/proximity entry on my last 3 vehicles and had never had to wait longer than a second. Once you close the door it can be locked. Even if other doors are open it takes the command and then locks as soon as the other doors close. .

Yeah I havent had that issue. As soon as i push the button it locks, its the unlocking that sucks, I have to stand there for like 4 seconds before I can unlock it.
