I am looking at replacing my keyfob battery.
My Rubicon is only 2 months old.
Every once in a while i get the message that the keyfob has left the vehicle.
However the keyfob is with me in the vehicle.
What brand battery should I use?
Duracell,Panasonic etc?

I used an Energizer 2450 when mine started doing the same, though my OEM lasted two years

I use and recommend Energizer.

Only when using Duracell in various applications have I experienced eventual acid leakage. The company puts you through the wringer when making a warranty claim for their No Leak "guarantee", too. I avoid that brand now.

Good idea to carry a “spare” in the glove box, just in case you’re on the road when it croaks…

Important to know how to start with a dead fob battery. Press the start button with the tip of the fob.

@Sanchese

Do take the time to read the whole thread at the link below...

Read through it... it tells you about the fob battery, how to change the fob battery, what to do if your fob battery dies/how to start your JL with a fob that has a bad/depleted battery...

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/?-factory-key-fob-101-whats-inside-disassembly-and-more.88719/

Note: Other's have reported the message fob not detected/left the vehicle.... when the key fob was very very cold... after the fob warmed up the issue was no more... With that said, depleted batteries especially, do not perform well in cold weather especially.
