This is what I think I am going to go with. Never understood why Jeep thinks we need a fob that is soooooo large.

I have two of them -- and they're game-changers, to say the least!

Yes, I am a Tester / User of the DI Labs aftermarket JL/JT fobs.....

I have tested / use the Model M, Model S and I am currently testing the Model S+.

Terrific offerings they are.... Any ?, ask away... Do know that I am not a representative of DI Labs... I'm just a happy tester/user of their fobs and their keyhole covers.

I like what I see but you know looks on the internet can be deceiving. I just wanted a real life opinion. Thanks.

^ They’re really quite nice, as many have mentioned (including myself).

The only downside that I’ve found is that I had to add an additional pound of lead on my dive belt while snorkeling… to account for the smaller fob. :like:;)

I like the chunky key fob and its range. Seems like I can lock the Jeep from at least 50 yards, maybe more. And it’s like wearing a weight belt when doing pull-ups at the gym.

@Diesel

The "range" is not impacted either negatively or positively if you have an aftermarket, JL fob like the DI Labs fob. Expect to see the same "range" as you do with a stock JL fob.

Just want to clarify this range thing.... for those that needed clarification.... were curious....

I wonder if an alfa stelvio keyfob would work. lol.

Edit: Check this out!!

The picture of the guts from an Alfa Stelvio keyfob in the FCC db:
https://fccid.io/KR5ALFA434/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-2790138

Same for the Wrangler keyfob:

That said, while they do have the same green board, I can't find anything about the alfa keyfob using the little RFID chip the Jeep keyfob has.
@Kyanche

Indeed it does seem that the circuit board for the JL/JT would fit in the Alfa Stelvio housing.. As for the RFID chip, it is tiny so you could probably place it in the end of the housing.... Problem is the press pad on the Alfa fob is 5 button and the JL is not..... Alpha bob is pricey too...

I'm still testing using a DI Labs, Model S+ . Terrific!

The Model S+ is smaller then the stock fob and also has a retractable key. It is real nice.... a pleasure to have...

DI labs is in the process of a couple of slight design changes to the Model S+... It should be available to all for purchase in the next few weeks.

I'm looking for to getting my final design version Model S+ .

Model S+ .... retractable key - will come in different colors, etc. just like the Model S.

I had an AJT fob for my 4Runner and loved it.

So when I saw they made one for Jeeps I immediately picked one up.

I have an AJT fob and honestly, except for the installation, it's been great. That installation was murder though.

I ordered a Model M from Threedom and it's a LOT smaller. The AJT was good, but if you're looking for the tiniest key fob possible then get the Threedom. If I had any complaints about it, it's that compared to the AJT the buttons don't feel as good. The AJT buttons are separate pieces of plastic so there's more travel to them whereas the Threedom top half is one piece and requires more pressure. At least that'll limit any butt dialing. You also can't carry the key with the Threedom, but that's not really necessary. It's not like a locked soft top Jeep is hard to get into.

I still like my AJT, but it's on my spare set of keys now.
