I have a 2023 jl Rubicon. Today I went grocery shopping, locked the doors. Shopping finished, back to the jeep and my doirs would not unlock, fob was dead. Used the flip out key to unlock the door, horn alarm goes off, pressed the start button with the fob and it started. I changed the battery in the fob a few months ago after getting a low battery in fob warning. No warning this time. Now everything works fine. Anyone else experience this? Gremlins?

Fob dead without warning, even pushing start with it inop. Multiple attempts, before calling AAA I pushed lock and it worked, everything, unlock , start worked. .. Replaced battery, no further problems. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The key fobs are junk. I got an aftermarket one, and lost my physical key, but never had an issue, yet. I have proximity though, so the only time I suppose the battery is being used is for remote start.

Yup, my fobs act up on occasion. Stop working with no low battery warning. Change battery works great for a week then stops again. Switched to second fob and no problems so far 🤞

Just last week my fob was not working. No low battery warning. Switched to my spare fob. Will be getting a battery for the other fob and seeing how it goes.
Will now be carrying in my purse a new battery and whatever tool I need to pry the fob open.

No problems except one day neither of my fobs would work with the Jeep in my driveway. The next day it worked like normal and hasn't acted up since. We had a wireless outdoor thermometer on the fence near the Jeep and by coincidence it stopped working about that same time. I put new batteries in it but could not get it to connect to the inside display. I have a theory that its electronics or wifi transmitter were going bad and sent out signals that interfered with the Jeep key fob transmitter/receiver systems.
