K did the deed, easy, as you said, however I have not got my AC back fully yet after 2 ign cycles. Which buttons did you press for 10 secs ?
You say the radio on button and the enter button ? Which is the enter button ? I tried the one with "browse" on it, however that didn't work.....?
I may be just old and/or stupid.....?
Yes. I held down the power button and the browse/enter button for ten seconds then released them. It took a few seconds but the radio came back on after resetting. I had everything working as it was at that point. I understand old (I’m 57) and stupid (I can’t think of a reason for that one). Ha.

great to hear. I just ordered a noco 10 charger but I’m not sure where to attach the negative cable now that the large stud is taped up and unavailable.

I have smog testing and it's failed for an o2 sensor. I reconnected the cable and fuse and had it re flashed by the dealer.

It's still failing even though all sensors appear to be working when I look at the scan tool data.

The battery was showing 51 percent state of charge, is it possible that is the issue?
Wouldn't the dealer performing the inspection be responsible for providing the reason(s) for the latest failure? How else would the owner know how to proceed here?

Lots of pages on this, read through the first 10, then figured I would just post and ask. Will this fuse pull and negative cable disconnect work on my 2023 JLU 3.0 Diesel? If I post of picture of my negative cables, can someone verify which cable to disconnect/tape off/tuck out of way? Thanks!

Did the fuse pull/negative cable disconnect at main battery. Does this mean I should have no trouble jumping starting main battery if/when need be? Getting very confused reading all the info regarding not being able to jump start with aux battery + main battery. In my reading, people have stated, that when the JL's rolled off the assembly line, with aux + main battery (all stock), if battery needed jumped, it could not happen. They have said the aux battery died first, took the main out shortly after, tried to jump, not happening, dead in water and a tow needed. I guess in short, my question is this, by doing the by-pass, can I jump? Or does the aux battery, its cables, and everything the aux battery is connected to be removed, in order to be a one battery system and can be jumped, like the old days? So confused.........thinking what I did may have not been best and thinking I may be stranded at some point, not able to jump start and waiting hours to be towed and spending more money and time.
Here is what happened and what I did: Thoughts and thoughts going forward from the group? Much appreciated!

Jeep dead in water, no start, dash went nuts, tried to jump with NOCO GB70 and it wouldn't turn over. Called AAA, guy used his JNC660 and jumped engine, fired right up. Went to local mechanic, he recommended Optima Red Top 34/78, installed.
1. Added Smart/Stop/Start to automatically "push button" to turn off ESS
2. Pulled F42
3. Removed smaller diameter negative cable/taped it up/tucked it away

Ive had my AUX bat isolated shortly after all the info was posted awhile ago in this thread. Last summer my Main finally died (5 years old). I was prepared with a Duracell DRJS30 portable jumper, put it on, clutch in and away I went and then upgraded to the bigger battery. So you shouldn't have any issues when the time comes.

Well, it finally happened. Jeep would not start, just a click. Can't jump it either! I knew it was coming so I already had the Optima yellow top. I follow the directions for my 2021, worked like a charm! THANK YOU ALL. The ONLY little downside is I managed to drop the battery hold down bolt into some abyss somewhere. Just need to figure out what size that is, zip to Lowes and get the bolt and I am done!

If figuring out the size is going to be a problem and a few extra bucks aren't going to kill you, there's also the Parts department at one of your local dealerships that can get you an exact replacement with none of the hassle of finding the right fit. ?

Just a phone call away to get started.

That actually is a great idea! A nice 15 minute ride to save who knows how much frustration!
