  1. Aux Battery replacement the easy way... pull the fender flare

THANKS for finding the post - I was search handicapped yesterday.....
  2. Aux Battery replacement the easy way... pull the fender flare

you could always just bypass the aux battery and put in a much better next group larger main battery and run it off of there. there is a fuse you need to pull (maybe #42?) there is a good post on here that outlines exactly how to do it.
  3. DC - Maryland - Virginia

I can tell you where NOT to go. AVOID ATO Autosports in Parkville, MD.
  4. At What Level of Savings Would You Do Without a Fold Down Windshield?

Oops mistyped the year, that was in 2005. It was a limited edition Jeep sold at the time the TERRIBLE movie Sahara came out that had a similar Jeep in a few scenes. it was a limited back when limited was still 2 doors and not 4. Mine did not have the hard top, it came with a sand color soft top.
  5. Those who never take their doors off... Why?

WTF? I don't give a damn about the safety rating, it is a great vehicle. Of the 11 Jeeps I have owned it is the best by far. It gets GREAT gas mileage compared to my F350 on 37's and it is fun to drive. I don't want to take the damn doors off, there is no reward for me. It is the only side...
  6. Those who never take their doors off... Why?

True, I stopped riding after 34 years of riding when I hit a deer for the SECOND time. Just not worth the pain :surprised:
  7. Those who never take their doors off... Why?

It is the ONLY side impact protection you have. As a former police officer, I have seen some horrors. Besides, I lean my knee on the door. Being 6'5" you need to get creative to make these Jeeps livable.
  8. At What Level of Savings Would You Do Without a Fold Down Windshield?

The last time I dropped a Jeep windshield was in my 1995 Jeep Sahara Rubicon #691. After that it leaked water when it rained. I will never do that again :)
  9. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

GREETINGS Jeep family! Here in MD we are coming into some serious top down weather, i think today on the way home we will have to put the My Top to good use. Will probably have to take the long way home today!
  10. Random Stop Start Not Available Alert

I agree, but I am absolutely SHOCKED Jeep would allow a battery setup that last only 2 years! My Jeep is a garage queen, yes I off road it but it lives inside, in a climate controlled garage most of the time. I put 8,000 miles on her a year and that's it! I will be glad to move past this dual...
  11. Random Stop Start Not Available Alert

I have one, I call it Alternator ;)
  12. Random Stop Start Not Available Alert

I think I am gonig to go the single H7 battery route and disconnect the little battery and pull fuse #42. It sounds like I better do it sooner rather than later as it is getting cold here
  13. Random Stop Start Not Available Alert

I think I know the answer to this. I am getting the "Stop Start Not Available" Alert randomly. It seems to be happening more and more. is this the battery dying after ONLY TWO YEARS?
  14. Re-fueling at Shell

Idiotic that Jeep did not make the filler neck large enough to use a standard diesel pump.
  15. Gladiator 392?

Yes, but I sadly am not made out of money. ;)
  16. Re-fueling at Shell

    That seems idiotic of Jeep.
  17. Gladiator 392?

Just heard back from Craig at Koon's, there is no word on whether or not Jeep will make a 392 Gladiator. So if I am going to do it it looks like the 6 or the diesel is it for me. I REALLY did not want the etorque system, that is why I like my current Hurricane 4 so much.
  18. Gladiator 392?

100% CORRECT. Just send an email to Craig Benner ([email protected]) over at Koon's Jeep in VA and he will send you the prices of your potential order in an email. He got me a FANTASTIC deal on my order.
