I have a 2021 Wrangler JL 2 door and I want to bypass the aux battery. I have read through multiple threads and I am not sure what wire going to my main battery needs to be disconnected. Can anyone point me in the correct direction please. Everyone says to remove the wire to the ground terminal but all I see is the main wire and a small wire underneath the main one. Thanks in advance

That setup looks like you may have etorque. Do you have an alternator? Is this a 3.6 or 2.0?

Not saying you’re wrong but many, many people have been mistaken. What leads you to say not an etorque. Etorques come with an empty battery box in the inner fender which can cause confusion.

I recommend looking under the Jeep for a small suitcase size battery opposite the gas tank, outlined in red in the pic. People say I’m needlessly hurting peoples backs with my suggestion. You can also check your window sticker or build sheet, , or post a pic of your alternator (or generator if etorque) and the number of coolant reservoirs under the hood.

Etorque battery outlined in red.

What year did the 3.6 switch to etorque only? I thought it was 21.

Now knowing it is an etorque and I am getting this message, does it have anything to do with the etorque battery or could it just be my main battery.

Just your main battery, almost with a certainty, being slightly below a voltage threshold at start up, if the message goes away once driven a bit Common and not a cause for alarm but could indicate your battery is reaching end of life if it is the original,
