Jscan Auto start stop?

I have jscan and have used it for led light swap, Lowering TPMS warning and a few other things.
I'm not able to disable the auto start stop?
Is it that jscan can't do this or am I doing something wrong?
I deactivated all auto start stop parameters and it still works.

Not properly doable with JSCAN. It's not that you are doing "something wrong."

Buy yourself a SmartStopStart unit to deal with it .

If you are using a dedicated security gateway bypass module, the SmartStopStart unit can be daisy chained with it and all can be left in place 365 days of the year.

Yes, when going to Jeep dealer Service Department, do remove the SmartStopStart and dedicated security gateway bypass module and plug security gateway wires back in until the vehicle is back from dealership.

J Scan does it wrong. Yes its disabled, but you get a warning light on your dash full time. I use the SmartStopStart as well.

Unplug one of the two switches on the hood, I don't remember which one and the stop and start will be disabled. Try it!

Personally, I would not install this brand device if you gave it to me for free..

I suggest people wanting such a device to go with forum sponsor @SmartStopStart.com 's offering then has been available and proven itself that was first offered in 2018.

MANY here on this forum have this offering installed on our JL's and we all know this product unlike the knockoffs never hiccups.

I should mention you can get the original SmartStopStart for $99.... with that said why even bother to buy a knockoff for about the same amt. of money. AND, with the SmartStopstart unit it is very easy to sell when you get rid of your JL.. Can't say this in regard to the knockoffs.

Yes, a very lame way to defeat ESS.

Problem is though, remote start is usually negatively impacted and you have an EVIC warning light on all the time and more. Again, a lame lame way to go ...

Wise going with a SmartStopStart. You can attest to the fact that it never hiccups..

You know they can be resold for about $55-65 after years of use. Can't say that about the knockoffs.

--> JSCAN fools with the one hood plunger connection so the JL thinks is not compressed and subsequently will not let remote start to work, hood adjar stuff to function and yes, ESS to not function...

It may be a "knock-off" like you say but it worked in my wife's explorer st and my rubicon flawlessly and can be unplugged and took out in seconds as well. It cost me $99 and found it on the web with a money back garuntee, now if I had saw the one you spoke of Smart start-stop I might has bought it instead.
I assume both are equal and do same thing so flip a coin there both good products.

i got jscan and did what you did. but also disconnected the hood switch on the right when facing your jeep. when you turn your jeep on it warns you stop/stop is disabled and needs to be serviced. then display goes normal except for a small icon to the right your your miles display. i covered that warning light with black elec tape and have been happy. below is pic where i have service transmission issue cuz of dumb 19a clutch recall for my manual transmission but you can see the tape on my dash covering that warning light.

I went ahead and unplugged everything under the hood. Now everything's disabled! Try it!

JSCAN doesn't have the capability to disable it properly. Don't even try with their instruction, it's subpar.

Those dongles would work. I used the smartStopStart thing, it works, but it's stupidly expensive. (Of course if you have excessive money to spend, go for it. USA! USA!)

Sold it after I got my Launch scanner to program it - basically it memorize the ESS setting from your previous drive. If you have multiple brands/cars at home, get a capable scanner (cost like $200).

Within the 1st week of owning my JL, not knowing anything about the start/stop. I almost drove my jeep back to the dealership because I thought something was very wrong. I ended up referring to the manual & the forum and read all about it but it was driving me bananas. The $99 SmartStopStart has worked perfectly over 2 years now.

Been running the auto stop eliminator for three years, not one hiccup.

I just disabled Stop/Start in my '21 JLU, last night, using JScan.
Disabled Stop/Start, then disabled the Stop/Start menu.
From the Main vehicle screen, it's in the "adaptation" heading.

Seems to work fine. No odd icons or warnings on the display.
Did I just get lucky? Or am I missing something?
