I know it's a long presentation, but I found it pretty fascinating at times having retired with a industrial engineering degree back in the late 70s. For those people who question the QC of these vehicles I think that this presentation illustrates the sheer complexity of today's modern vehicles. I for one still miss points, plugs, carburetors and timing lights.

Where is the part that shows the robot missing to weld the track bars, the worker installing the flimsy steering box, the dud auxiliary battery, and the fuse box with unseated fuses...?

Or is that on their video on Quality Control...?

My gasser has plugs. I don’t miss points , adjusting carburetors or timing for altitude change. I do miss the simplicity before smog or nanny safety B.S.
I LOL at the prices folks are paying for classic/vintage vehicles. They never made it to 100,000 miles without a major tune up/servicing. I’ve had several 20’s vehicles go well over 100,000 without missing a beat.
i liked the video BTW.

If I want a taste of Retro Needy, I've a carbureted motorcycle, and one with fuel injection but very little else. Both have tubes and bias ply tires. Both require recurring valve adjustments, compulsory warm-up periods on cold mornings, ZDDP-infused oil and other old-timey hand holding that rose-tinted memories tend to forget. Or ignore.

Modernity is the bee's knees. :)
