I think high velocity is going to look really good in person. Have a feeling it’s going to change a lot depending on lighting. Attempted to switch my order to it we shall see if it goes through

High Velocity looks like piss after you've taken your vitamins.
Or a faded highlighter that's been sitting in a drawer for 5 years. It's not a flattering shade and unless I am missing some cultural reference, I have absolutely no idea where the connection between "high velocity" and that color yellow even comes from.

At least most of the other color names have some connection to the actual color...

I've been studying the available photos and paint samples and I'm confident (oh boy I hope I'm not wrong) that it will look very similar to Mustang Grabber Yellow in person -- which also looks similarly faded in many photos but is vibrant in person.

OK, not to offend those that like Grellow (I DO NOT), but that was pretty damn funny
the High Velocity is what's being called grellow, right? same color?

From Jon's VJ's post I can see that Jeep has offered a lot of colors recently--haven't been following it for a while till this year when I ordered a new one. When I was ordering, I was surprised at how many silver/gray/black/white colors I could choose from, but the colors with actual color seemed manic or pretty intense like the High Velocity/grellow.

I could either get a neutral non-color JL or if I wanted a color, I had to choose a super bright extroverted one. The Jeep brand is as much about fun as anything else so maybe that's fine: bright notice-me colors or boring non-colors.

I chose the one that's a mix--Stingray. It's a warm gray that sometimes looks brownish, or like a dark khaki. And, yeah, I would have chosen Gobi if I was ordering now ;-)

Oh well, that's the problem when every market segment likes your product. How do you choose colors for that wide spectrum of people?

They should just ask Consumer Reports what colors they recommend and they'd know what not to choose.

The thing I like least about Jeep colors are the names that they give to many of them.
