For what it's worth: I have leased two almost identical '22 4xE Saharas, all stock. Both of them have encoutered the death wobble; one was 'fixed' with a tire rotation.
The other one has been in the shop 3 times, had the stabilizer repaired and other suspension parts examined. The problem...
Has anyone done a dB test on the impact of the "Premium Cabin" sound deadening yet? I'm curious how noticeable a difference it really is.
I was disappointed they ditched the saddle interior on the 24's...until I saw they're offering a new green option with dash accents. Haven't seen it in...
For what it's worth: stay FAR away from Jeep Englewood Cliffs - consider yourself lucky they wouldn't take your car in. Their service department is abominable. Slimy ripoff artists, even for vehicles under original factory warranty. Just read the 'real' reviews on Google and Yelp. As other have...
Mine's so loud at idle sometimes that I've seen people nearby stop and stare, thinking something was wrong. Usually happens on a cold start, or when the engine has been 'off' for awhile in EV mode and switches back on. I guess it is trying to make up for the silence when it is in all-electric...
You won't have positive equity at this point; those days of the 'hot' 4xe market are well behind us now. Might as well wait - with interest rates dropping later this year, you'll probably be in good shape to get an even better deal come next summer (especially if they offer a loyalty incentive).
So...I finally got a call back from a Jeep case manager, who said that I've been approved for $60/day rental. They said I would have to pay out of pocket, and then submit for reimbursement. They'll only cover the base rental price, no extra costs (fuel, etc).
I have a interesting use case where I deploy full electric in a dense urban environment (i.e. where gas MPG would be abysmal) and then switch to E-Save out of the city for more 'normal' hybrid type use.
Yes, I enjoy the 4xE for the around-town efficiency, but I love the silence, smoothness, and...
I can't even get a callback from the recall team. I've called in twice to 800-853-1403, and they've assured me they've escalated to a 'case manager' who will call me back...but no luck. Which number are folks calling for help?
I was swapped into a new '23 Bolt EUV, which I had custom-ordered through a dealer. At one point it seemed like they were going to back out on the offer, but thankfully it all went smoothly.
As for my 4xE, I've put in a request with the recall division for rental reimbursement and they've...
Cool - thanks for the info. I'll reach out to them and see what they say, certainly can't hurt to try.
Funnily enough, I went through something similar with my Chevy Bolt during their battery fiasco. They wound up covering a rental car expense for over 9 months, then swapped me into a brand new...
Very interesting - can you share a little more info on how they explained it would work? Is it a reimbursement to you, or would it go through a dealer who has a relationship with a rental car company? Did you contact Jeep Wave for this, or another division for the recall specifically?
I'd...
As other have noted: a simple rotation/balance fixed mine, which showed up after about 8k miles on lots of pothole-ridden streets. Was pretty scary when it was present, made it almost impossible to drive securely above 45mph.
