Does Jeep have a special bad azz department/division such as the TRD (Toyota), SVT (Ford), NISMO (Nissan), etc. If yes, what is it called? If not, why not?

But isn't that for Dodge? Is there a Jeep specific? Ive never seen a Jeep with the SRT label attached to it. Or is the 392 an SRT label/badge?

They had an "unofficial" enthusiast group within the Jeep brand that can be credited for producing the original Rubicon back in the early 2000's, but in reality that was a collection of factory warrantied parts that the aftermarket was already offering. And how hard is it really to drop a 392 into the Wrangler platform? So no, they don't have a flagship named team of these folks within Jeep's marketing arm.

I think Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) is about what you're describing: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/shop/performance/jeep-performance-parts.html

It looks like at one point they tried to make it a stand alone performance team/brand/department, as referenced in this press release where they say 2 JPP Concepts, separate from the 4 Jeep concepts: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/four-new-jeep-brand-and-jeep-performance-parts-jpp-by-mopar-concept-4x4s-hit-the-trails-at-58th-annual-easter-jeep-safari-302097374

The following is anecdotal.

Other than ground clearance, over a 6 hour period, I watched a Trailhawk repeatedly outperform a new TRD 4Runner on a variety of easy to moderate offroad terrain. Maybe more to do with the driver than the vehicle.

I‘ve owned TRD 4x4 V6 Tacomas in the past. Not even in the same league as a basic Wrangler. Certainly not bad ass.

SVT was big in the late 90s and early 00s. it was dissolved and became Ford Racing and now Ford Performance i believe.
SRT is no more either. both were ran by true gearheads.
