Got back into the Wrangler family last March, super stoked to be here. For the past three years my lady has been driving a then-new Camero and has always been a speed person. I, on the other hand, am a "Yeah, it's fast, but I can park my vehicle on top of it" kinda person. :)

This morning she came in and told me that the same dealership I bought mine from has a sweet 2020 two-door JL in a spiffy blue.

Later she came in and told me that we have an appointment at the dealer's to test drive this rig in about two hours.

Yeah, she's been bit pretty hard. LOVE IT!

LoL, she just ran in excited because CarMax is giving $5K more on her Camero than she expected. Yeah, we're jeeping tonight. I'll post pics later...
You never posted pics. Did she break up with you when she got her own Jeep ? JK, not trying to be an ass.

Also it's Camaro not Camero...
Ugh this drives me FRIKIN NUTS!!! So many people do it...and I don't understand why.

IT'S NOT "CAMERO"!!!!! How any adult aware of cars doesn't know how to spell the name of one of the most iconic American cars in history I cannot fathom.

And what's funny is I had to fight autocorrect in order to spell it wrong on purpose.

I'll never figure that one out and worst of it is it comes from people that actually own them most of the time.

What do you suppose happened if they tried to trade their Camero for a Willys…?

Sounds like the prospects of a new Jeep was actually a timeshare meeting that went really, really bad....

And that right there is my problem. One FCA vehicle is enough for us, thanks. When I went shopping for trucks I immediately ruled out RAM because I don't want to have to worry about TWO FCA vehicles. One is plenty.

I feel attacked.

We have currently have 4 Jeeps - my wife's was first, an '18 JLU Sport S that we ordered and picked up in May of '18. It's got 48K on it now. I got my '18 JL Sport in July of '19. It's got 36K on it, including a few trips to AOAA and Rausch Creek. Our son bought a CPO '20 JLUR back in October of '23. He's got about 35K on it now.

And our oldest is an '03 Liberty Limited that my wife bought new in September of '02, so we have it 21 years now. It has 106K on it now. We took it off the road in 2018, did a lot of maintenance that we let slide (brakes, water pump, radiator) and gave it to our son in 2020 when he got his license. After he got the JLUR, we passed it along to our daughter who recently got her license.

Knock on wood, all have been great and we love them!

Generally people way over blow the lack of reliability of vehicles in general. Statistically speaking almost all new vehicles are within margin of error of each other reliability wise.

You have a 21 year old vehicle with 106k miles on it. No wonder you don't have a lot of issues. You don't drive your vehicles!

I thought I was impressive only putting 110k on my Tahoe in 12 years...but damn...theoretically, if I kept my JL for 21 years (total, not from now)...it would be pushing 300k miles.
